Emotional development of preschool children: volitional, personality sphere
The correct emotional development of children will help them learn to understand their feelings and express emotions. It is easy for an adult to do this, but it is difficult for a child to sort out his feelings. If he can do this, it will be easier for him to understand the emotions of other people. Then he will be able to successfully communicate with others.
Emotional development of children from an early age
In the first year of life, the baby gets to know the people around him. He makes the first attempts to contact them. His emotional background is extremely unstable. Emotions overwhelm the crumb. They are bright, stormy and fleeting. It is very easy to excite a child. Increased emotionality affects behavior.
In the sphere of babies, mood contamination occurs. The cry of one toddler is passed on to other children. Irritation and negative feelings are not unfounded. So the crumb conveys its feelings to others. He reports that he is feeling bad and upset about something.
When the baby is 2 years old, his emotions depend on the success of his objective activity. He wants to get a certain result. The most important stage of development for him is the game. He seeks to perform the necessary action, but it has not yet been brought to automatism. Failures cause resentment and aggression. With this, the baby expresses a request for help to the parents. Having mastered the necessary skill, he will convey joy to his loved ones.
In the first years of life, the main personality traits of the toddler are formed. This process is accompanied by emotional crises.
At 3 years old, the plot side of the game makes the kid worry. The plot takes on special meaning for him. It becomes diverse and unusual. He develops an aesthetic taste. He is attracted by bright and sparkling things or toys. He strives to share his delight with the whole world.
Features of emotional and volitional development
The child acquires new needs. The circle of his interests is expanding. Previously, he was only interested in his own goals. As you grow older, social motives appear. This is accompanied by social sensations and emotions. Feelings cease to depend solely on the situation in which the baby finds himself. They arise in the process of thinking. Thoughts acquire special significance for a preschooler.
The child develops a sense of pride. He needs praise and approval.
At the age of 6-7, children are capable of anticipation. They predict the possible actions of others, which causes full-fledged experiences. They have the opportunity to assess the intended consequences. They are able to predict what kind of reaction will follow to a particular action from a particular person.
Problems in Preschool Children
Most often, children suffer from hyperactivity. They are impulsive, restless, and overly emotional. This prevents them from concentrating on completing tasks.
Hyperactivity harms the baby.
Observation of parents will help to notice the problem. All babies are active, but if a child becomes euphoric, depressed or anxious, you should be alert.
At an early age, your toddler needs to express and control his feelings. This will help him grow up harmoniously.
