Indications for use of the drug Elofen Syrup
The active substance of Elofen syrup is fenspiride, used as an anti-inflammatory drug in infections of the upper respiratory tract. Elofen Syrup is indicated for the symptomatic treatment (coughing and coughing) in the course of inflammatory diseases of the bronchi and lungs.
Dosage:
- Adults: 45-90 ml daily.
- Children after 2 years of age: 4 mg / kg body weight daily, i.e .:
- children weighing less than 10 kg: 10-20 ml daily;
- children weighing more than 10 kg: 30-60 ml daily.
- children weighing less than 10 kg: 10-20 ml daily;
- children weighing more than 10 kg: 30-60 ml daily.
You can assume that 1 teaspoon has a capacity of 5 ml, and 1 tablespoon – 15 ml.
Elofen Syrup and contraindications
Contraindications to the use of Elofen Syrup are:
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation;
- do not use in children up to the age of 2;
- it is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
