Elofen Syrup is a drug used in pediatrics and family medicine for symptomatic treatment of bronchial and lung diseases. The preparation affects the respiratory system and has anti-inflammatory properties. Elofen is available as a syrup and can only be obtained with a prescription.

Indications for use of the drug Elofen Syrup

The active substance of Elofen syrup is fenspiride, used as an anti-inflammatory drug in infections of the upper respiratory tract. Elofen Syrup is indicated for the symptomatic treatment (coughing and coughing) in the course of inflammatory diseases of the bronchi and lungs.

Dosage:

  1. Adults: 45-90 ml daily.
  2. Children after 2 years of age: 4 mg / kg body weight daily, i.e .:
  3. children weighing less than 10 kg: 10-20 ml daily;
  4. children weighing more than 10 kg: 30-60 ml daily.

Elofen Syrup and contraindications

  2. do not use in children up to the age of 2;
  3. it is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
