Eleutherococcus: treatment of hemorrhoids with folk remedies
The nodular expansion of the vessels of the rectum is called hemorrhoids. The disease affects mainly elderly people, but the problem can also affect pregnant women and women who have recently given birth. There are many folk remedies for the treatment of hemorrhoids, but they will be much more effective when used in parallel with Eleutherococcus.
The use of Eleutherococcus in the treatment of hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are manifested by pain, burning and itching in the anus, and in advanced cases – bloody discharge and loss of nodes with tension and bowel movements. This is fraught with the occurrence of anal fissures and other complications such as thrombosis, paraproctitis and even cancer. Therefore, before home treatment for hemorrhoids, you should consult your doctor.
For the treatment of hemorrhoids, sea buckthorn oil is often used. It promotes wound healing and pain relief. In combination with a liquid extract of Eleutherococcus, sea buckthorn oil also has an anti-inflammatory effect, and also relieves swelling from the hemorrhoid.
The most effective treatment is with microclysters. 50 ml of sea buckthorn oil must be mixed with 5 ml of Eleutherococcus tincture, and then inject this composition into the anus. The duration of the procedure should be at least 20-30 minutes – all this time it is necessary to lie in bed so that the healing mixture does not leak out. The course of treatment consists of 7-10 procedures.
Before mixing sea buckthorn oil and eleutherococcus tincture, it is necessary to warm them up to a temperature of 30–35 ° С. In this case, the effect of microclysters will be higher.
To enhance the effect, you can use dry extract of Eleutherococcus in the form of tablets or dragees. They should be taken one piece 2-3 times a day. The drug improves blood circulation and helps to reduce hemorrhoids.
External hemorrhoids treatment
External hemorrhoids are best treated with herbal baths with Eleutherococcus tincture. Especially effective is a decoction of oak bark and pharmacy chamomile.
You will need:
- 4 tablespoons dried chopped herbs (chamomile and oak bark in equal proportions)
- 2 liters of water
- 50 ml of Eleutherococcus liquid extract
Chopped grass must be poured with water, put on medium heat and brought to a boil. After heating, reduce and darken the liquid under the lid for 10 minutes. Then the broth must be cooled to room temperature, filtered and mixed with the extract of Eleutherococcus. Sit baths should be done twice a day for 10 days. After a one-week break, the course of treatment can be repeated.
Instead of chamomile and oak bark, you can use yarrow, nettle, sage, St. John’s wort, calendula. Herbs can be mixed or used separately
External hemorrhoids can also be treated with lotions. It is best to use potato juice mixed with eleutherococcus tincture (50 ml of juice requires 10 ml of tincture). A cotton swab should be moistened with the resulting mixture and applied to the hemorrhoid for 10-15 minutes. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.
