Elegant and tasty – Easter cake: what is interesting to add to the dough

Traditionally, the dough for the cake is kneaded from Thursday to Friday, and on Saturday the cakes are brought to the church for consecration. 

According to tradition, on the day of baking holiday cakes, you need to dress in clean clothes and get down to business with pure thoughts and preferably in a cheerful mood, so that the baking is a success. The whole house should already be cleaned, family members shouldn’t swear among themselves, wander around the kitchen while Easter cakes are being baked there, too.

Chocolate cake

Add 100 grams of milk and 100 grams of dark chocolate to the dough. To do this, knead a bezoparny raisin dough. Break the chocolate into pieces, mix it into the dough. Bake the Easter cakes as usual.

 

Easter cake with sweets “Korovka”

Knead a safe Easter cake dough, add raisins to it. When you put the dough into the molds, fill the container by a third with the dough, put 1-2 “Lady” sweets on top, drown them a little into the dough with your finger, and put the remaining dough on top.

 

Easter cake with marzipan

Knead raisin-free dough without raisins and take 100 grams of marzipan. Cut the marzipan into 1 centimeter cubes, lay out the dough and a handful of marzipan in layers. Let the cakes come up and bake.

 

Kulič “Zebra”

You will need an additional 4 tablespoons of cocoa. Prepare the dough on the dough, divide it in half. Stir in cocoa evenly into one part. Roll small balls from each part. Put the balls in the cake pan randomly, crushing them with your hand. Let the cakes come up and bake according to the recipe.

 

Easter cake with marshmallow

This additive is suitable for sponge dough. Fill the cake pan with a quarter of the dough, put 1-2 marshmallows, sprinkle with dried raspberries, put a quarter of the dough again, repeat the sweets, cover with the dough. Let the cakes come up and bake.

 

Easter cake with nuts, prunes and boiled condensed milk

Additionally prepare 100 ml of baked milk, 150 grams of prunes, 70 grams of walnuts, 2 tablespoons of boiled condensed milk.

Make a raisin-free dough with baked milk. Cut the prunes into small cubes, chop the nuts. Stir in all additional ingredients into the dough and bake the cakes.

 

Easter cake with honey, candied fruits and sage

You should take 70 grams of honey, a sprig of sage, 100 grams of orange or candied lemon. Cut all candied fruits into cubes, finely chop the sage leaves. Stir all the ingredients into the sponge cake batter.
