2/ 8 Examination of the thyroid gland

Thyroid problems can cause all sorts of discomfort. The hormone present in this organ influences, among others, on metabolism or growth processes. People with hyperthyroidism may experience impaired concentration, suffer from insomnia or muscle weakness. In turn, in the case of hypothyroidism, we can gain weight, develop anemia or kidney problems. It has been assumed that the thyroid should be systematically examined by women, first of all. And that’s not true. As you can see, its proper functioning affects the entire body and has a significant impact on our well-being. Therefore, everyone should have blood tests for TSH and Ft4 levels at least once a year.

3/ 8 Liver tests

The primary way to determine the condition of the liver is to check the levels of the enzymes ALAT and AST, which are done by drawing blood. Their elevated level can be a symptom of various diseases, including cirrhosis, toxic damage, hepatitis or biliary tract inflammation, as well as circulatory failure. In addition, elevated ALAT levels may also indicate pancreatic problems.

4/ 8 Pancreatic profile

The pancreas is a secretory organ, approx. 20 cm wide, divided into three parts: head, body and tail. It is located in the upper part of the abdominal cavity, and the cells that make it up are organized in the so-called the island of Langerhans. They produce hormones important for the functioning of the body: insulin, glucagon and somatostatin. And also enzymes that digest food: pancreatic amylase, trypsinogen, chymotrypsinogen, elastase, lipase, nuclease (secreted in the form of digestive juice into the duodenum).

5/8 PSA

Prostate problems are a condition that affects a large group of men in their forties. Unfortunately, many men ignore the first signals and do not perform preventive examinations. The best way to check if the prostate gland is working properly and if there are no neoplastic changes within it is to test the PSA, i.e. the specific antigen of the prostate gland. The PSA concentration is checked on the basis of a blood test, and the sampling is the same as in the case of classic blood count. Keep in mind that an elevated PSA level does not necessarily mean cancer. Sometimes its value is increased by taken medications, incl. those used to treat hypertension.

6/ 8 Breast ultrasound

Fibroids are often detected hard, painless nodules that can be easily felt with the fingers and are harmless. They arise as a result of hormonal changes mainly in young women. Fibrous adenomas are diagnosed after performing an ultrasound. The treatment is non-surgical.

7/ 8 Blood morphology

The blood is a mirror of what is happening in the body. Doctors say that a morphology must be done at least once a year. This cheap and simple test detects many serious diseases at an early stage. That is why do not postpone it, but sign up to the clinic as soon as possible. The morphology results will show you whether you have severe vitamin deficiencies, infections, and even cancers such as leukemia.

8/ 8 Urine test

It is a basic laboratory test with which it is possible to diagnose various conditions at an early stage. What will the urine test detect? The test is used primarily when kidney and urinary tract diseases are suspected, but it also identifies other diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and some cancers.
