Effective method of contraception

I am asking for help in choosing an effective contraceptive apart from the pills.

I am 29 years old and 2 years ago I had my baby by caesarean section. My husband and I are not planning a second child yet and I would like to choose an effective method of contraception. I don’t want to take birth control pills because I have circulatory problems and they contain hormones that can make you gain weight (I am prone to gaining weight).

Hormonal contraception today is not only hormonal pills, they can be patches or a vaginal ring releasing hormones. Circulatory problems are not a contraindication to the use of hormonal drugs, unless a thromboembolic event has occurred in the past. If not, AH bypassing the first hepatic passage after oral ingestion should do its job and be well tolerated. The effectiveness of GA is greatest. You may also consider inserting a copper IUD, either a regular one, or a hormone-releasing device in the uterine cavity. However, the selection of a contraceptive method is possible only during the visit to the doctor and the examination of the patient.
