We continue to analyze important terms and procedures that modern girls need to know.
Cavitation – a kind of ultrasound therapy (UST), through which it is possible to ensure the destruction of the fibrous frame surrounding cellulite cells, improve microhemodynamics, and carry out lymphatic drainage. It helps to improve oxygen access, remove metabolic products from problem areas, enhance metabolic processes in fat cells, and activate lipolysis (fat breakdown).
Carboxytherapy – method of rejuvenation by injections of carbon dioxide. It is believed that as a result of the procedure, the amount of oxygen in the tissues increases and this stimulates the renewal of the surface layer of the skin, the activity of fibroblasts and the production of collagen. Eliminates congestion in the form of puffiness, bags and circles under the eyes. However, it should be borne in mind that the mechanism how exactly carbon dioxide increases the oxygen saturation of skin cells is not fully understood, clinical studies are ongoing.
Collagen mask – cosmetic mask based on collagen solution. This mask is used to moisturize the skin well, restore it after harmful effects (dry air, smog, tobacco smoke, etc.), smooth wrinkles and generally refresh the skin of the face and décolleté.
Contour plastic – the introduction of specially developed medicines under the skin of the face in order to change the contours of the face, the shape and volume of the lips. Injectable fillers or fillers (from the English fill – filling) for this procedure are made most often on the basis of stabilized hyaluronic acid.
Cryotherapy – the branch of modern medicine, literally translated (from the Greek word kryos – cold or frost) means healing with the help of cold. Cold causes a sharp spasm of blood vessels, and then their persistent expansion, as a result of which peripheral blood supply and skin nutrition improves, metabolic processes are accelerated, the immune, endocrine, neurohumoral systems are activated, resistance to stress increases, and health and performance improve.
Cryomassage – massage using liquid nitrogen. It is indicated for problematic or aging skin – to stimulate local metabolism and blood circulation, increase skin tone, eliminate flabbiness, treat acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea and other skin diseases.
Cryolipolysis – physiotherapy apparatus procedure based on the non-surgical effect of cold on fat cells by gradual cooling, which leads to the death (apoptosis) of adipocytes. Used to remove cellulite and unwanted fatty deposits.
Laser rejuvenation – a term that is understood as an aesthetic procedure that has a pronounced rejuvenating effect by stimulating the production of its own collagen by the skin. Fractional laser rejuvenation is considered a modern and effective method.
Lymphatic drainage – hardware method of cosmetology, using a low frequency current of alternating polarity, with the help of which there is an improvement in the outflow of lymph.
lipolysis literally means fat breakdown. In biochemistry, the term “lipolysis” defines the process of breaking down fats into their constituent fatty acids under the influence of certain enzymes. In aesthetic medicine and cosmetology, lipolysis is interpreted primarily as another non-surgical technique for body shaping and combating fat deposits.
Lipofilling – a cosmetic procedure, which involves the transplantation of one’s own adipose tissue from there, where there is an excess of it, into the correction zone. After taking subcutaneous fat, it is cleaned and pumped into the subcutaneous or intercellular spaces through micro-incisions, filling the voids (cavities) like a natural filler. As a result, the patient receives “two in one”: the fat on problem areas becomes less, and the face looks much younger.
Mesotherapy – a technique for correcting cosmetic imperfections and for face and body care. It consists in the introduction of a special drug directly into the area where aesthetic problems are outlined: wrinkles, double chin, rosacea, acne, dermatoses, scars, hair loss, local fat deposits, etc.
Microdermabrasion – hardware procedure for exfoliating the skin of the face using ultra-thin crystals of aluminum oxide or other substances to remove the stratum corneum. Microdermabrasion has many benefits: it smoothes fine wrinkles, helps to even out skin texture and tone, makes scars less visible, tightens pores and reduces age-related hyperpigmentation of the skin.
Microcurrent therapy – a complex method of affecting tissues with modulated low-amplitude (100 mA) and low-voltage impulse currents. Currents are physiological for the cells of the body, gently affect the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissue, blood vessels, muscles. As a result of the action of currents, the charge of cell membranes changes, the activity of enzymes increases, the intercellular transport of biologically active substances improves, and microcirculation is normalized. Due to the indirect effect on muscle receptors, the muscle tone of the face, neck and décolleté is aligned and normalized.
Miostimulation – impact on muscles with alternating current pulses. Electrodes are applied to the problem areas, to which a low-frequency pulse current is applied, and it forces the muscles to contract. Myostimulation normalizes central and peripheral blood circulation, enhances lymphatic drainage, removes edema, and improves tissue nutrition. This technique is often called “fitness for the lazy.”
Thread lifting – threads have become a kind of alternative to surgical facelift. There are surgical non-absorbable sutures that create a reinforcing framework and liquid absorbable sutures that form a collagen framework.
Обертывание – a cosmetic procedure aimed at restoring the tone and elasticity of the skin, saturating it with useful substances, combating the external manifestations of cellulite. The wraps are divided into cold and hot. Cold wraps have a good effect on the skin, and hot wraps, in addition, contribute to the opening of pores and the loss of unnecessary moisture along with waste products (slags) from the subcutaneous fat layer.
Ozone therapy Is the practice of using the beneficial properties of ozone for medicinal purposes. A mixture of oxygen and ozone has a pronounced antispetic effect: penetrating inside, destroys the cells of harmful microorganisms. The course of ozone therapy stimulates the division of epidermal cells (while their correction is performed), improves microcirculation, smooths wrinkles, and removes the vascular network (rosacea).
Oxymesotherapy – hardware method based on oxygen injection under pressure. Recommended for problem skin, cellulite, age spots, scars, stretch marks (stretch marks), etc.
