Edible mushroom raincoat: description, recipes

The edible raincoat belongs to the mushroom family. Young mushrooms are used to prepare appetizers, first and second courses.

This type of mushroom can be found in deciduous and coniferous forests, in fields and meadows. Raincoats differ in that they have a pear-shaped or elongated shape. Their legs and caps are fused into one, and the surface is covered with small thorns. Overgrown mushrooms are not eaten, since over time the pulp turns into spores and brown dust. For this feature, they are called dust collectors, as well as wolf tobacco. Dense young mushrooms are called bee sponges and hare potatoes.

The weight of an edible raincoat can reach 5-10 kg

There are several types of raincoats:

  • hedgehog;
  • meadow;
  • prickly;
  • pear-shaped;
  • brown;
  • present.

Mushrooms differ from each other in shape and size. Some representatives reach a weight of 10 kg.

Recipe for Creamy Soup with Mushroom Raincoat

Prepare a flavorful meal for the whole family. Raincoats do not need additional soaking or boiling, it is enough to cut off the tough skin.

Ingredients:

  • mushrooms – 500 g;
  • water – 1,5 l;
  • dry white wine – 150 g;
  • cream (10%) – 100 g;
  • Bulgarian pepper – 1 pcs .;
  • stalked celery – 2 pcs.;
  • red onion – 1 pcs .;
  • carrots – 1 pcs .;
  • olive oil – 50 ml;
  • salt and ground pepper to taste.

Recipe:

  1. Cut mushrooms and onions into cubes, fry them until golden brown in vegetable oil. Pour in the wine and evaporate it for 7-8 minutes.
  2. Add grated carrots, diced peppers and celery to a saucepan. Cook food together for another 3 minutes.
  3. Pour in water, bring the soup to a boil. Pour in the cream, salt and pepper the dish.

The treat can be served with white bread croutons and herbs.

To prepare unusual pastries, you will need a mushroom with a diameter of 15-20 cm.

Ingredients:

  • raincoat – 1 kg;
  • cheese – 150 kg;
  • ham – 100 g;
  • vegetable oil – 30 g;
  • red onion – 0,5 pcs .;
  • salt and spices to taste.

Recipe:

  1. Peel the mushroom, cut it into 1 cm thick plates. Sprinkle the pieces with oil and grill them.
  2. Place the plates on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place sausage slices and onions cut into half rings on top of them.
  3. Sprinkle the blanks with grated cheese and bake them in the oven at 200 degrees. The treat will be ready in 20 minutes.

If desired, the filling can be supplemented with any vegetables and spices.

Raincoats are harvested from June to November. They appear after rain, grow very quickly and mature in 1-2 days.
