Eczema is a group of allergic or non-allergic skin diseases that are inflammatory, unrelated to infection. In most cases, eczema occurs as a swollen, red, itchy inflammation that appears on the epidermis and papillary layer of the dermis. The most common types of eczema are eczema and atopic dermatitis.

Symptoms of eczema

The initial phase of eczema is characterized by the appearance of red lumps on the skin, which form bursting blisters, leaving behind an erosion. Yellowish scabs after dried discharge, characteristic in the later stage of the disease, are a consequence of frequently occurring purulent lesions. As a result of both eczema and atopic dermatitis, it may be swollen, itchy, lanky and lose its elasticity. Scratched wounds tend to heal with a simultaneous change of color, which is accompanied by uncomfortable thickening of the skin in the areas affected by eczema.

Take care of your hands today and reach for the Bioherba Banana, Broccoli and Cucumber Cream for dry skin, available on Medonet Market at a promotional price. As an auxiliary in treatment, it is worth using jojoba oil to treat skin inflammations.

The causes of eczema

The causes of eczema are many, but the most common are genetic predisposition, allergies, disorders of the immune system, and contact with allergenic substances and objects. The very development and worsening of symptoms may also be affected by stress and lack of proper hygiene. Eczema, despite the fact that it is a chronic disease, is not contagious, and contact with a person suffering from it is not burdened with any risk. Statistically, children suffer from atopic dermatitis.

If you suffer from eczema or your skin is prone to irritation, use Cannaderm products. The products contain shea butter, hemp extract and panthenol, which have a strong moisturizing effect and help soothe skin lesions. Also try Exema hemp soothing cream with a low pH of 4,7, which soothes itching and burning of sensitive skin.

Types of eczema

Eczema is usually divided into two types, exogenous (contact) and endogenous. Eczema caused by an external factor is called exogenous. Most often it is formed as a result of contact of the epidermis with a sensitizing substance, e.g. cosmetics, jewelery or detergents. This form of the disease appears more often in the elderly, which is associated with the need to detect the allergen and use a special diet if the provoking factor is in the food. Contact eczema occurs especially in areas where the skin is most sensitive – on the hands, elbows and eyelids.

For daily care of the skin of your hands, use Dr Duda’s set of cosmetics for dry and damaged hands, consisting of soap, peeling and a mask.

In the case of endogenous eczema, its causes in most cases are genetic predisposition and a malfunctioning immune system of the body. Disorders of the circulatory system, manifested by congestive and venous eczema or leg eczema, can also contribute to the appearance of eczema.

For eczema, you can use products such as Herbamedicus aloe vera gel and a cream ointment with mummy and minerals from the Dead Sea. We also recommend Olive-laurel sulfur cleansing soap Surgras Aleppo Soap Co. by Tadé, which soothes the skin and helps in effective but gentle cleansing. In turn, for everyday hand care, it is worth using Tadé Pays du Levant Regenerating Hand and Foot Balm with Dead Sea salt.

Treatment of eczema

Unfortunately, the chronic nature of eczema and atopic dermatitis means that in most cases there is no single effective method of getting rid of this dermatological disease. Therefore, to alleviate its symptoms, you need to combine many different measures and methods of treatment. This applies to both everyday care for the condition of the skin and wearing airy clothes, preferably made of cotton materials.

For the care of skin with eczema, we recommend the Natural Dead Sea Mud Soap, which is currently available at a discounted price on the Medonet Market. You can also use Tadé Pays du Levant 100ml Spray Oil or Bioherba Borage Oil to buy in a 500 ml bottle.

A person with eczema should avoid extreme temperatures, long baths, and during hygienic activities, primarily use pH neutral soaps with deeply moisturizing agents. In addition, alternating dry and wet dressings are applied to the skin, combined with topical treatment with steroid ointments, reducing ointments and calcineurin inhibitors. It is also worth reaching for Cold-pressed wild carrot seed oil, which revitalizes the skin and soothes and moisturizes the hands.

It is also good practice to enrich the daily diet with gamma-linolenic acid and the use of probiotics and prebiotic oligosaccharides. In treatment, steroid drugs are often used. You can also use moisturizing and regenerating creams, e.g. the Biolaven nourishing hand cream available on Medonet Market or the Vianek regenerating hand cream.
