Industrial products are good, but their chemical compounds can damage many surfaces and corrode paint and enamel. But the main problem with miracle mixtures is that their composition and pungent odor are harmful to the health of housewives. Yes, you can save the skin of your hands if you wear gloves. But what about harmful vapors? If you wash a small bathroom, then, whatever one may say, inhale chemistry. However, there is a way out. Some of the chemicals can be replaced with safe products.
To clean the enamel and tiles, take three tablespoons of acetic acid, dilute them in a liter of water – and the solution is ready. It can be applied to bathtubs, sinks, tiles and other surfaces using a regular sponge. Is the pollution old? Leave the mixture on for a few minutes and then start cleaning. Just remember to wear rubber gloves. You can not worry about the respiratory tract, in such an amount of water, acetic acid is harmless and its smell quickly disappears.
To remove salts of hard water on taps and other metal surfaces, take two or three tablespoons of citric acid and dilute in a liter of water. Apply to the area with lime deposits with a sponge for 10-15 minutes, remove. And everything shines. The same tool perfectly copes with scale in the kettle and washing machines. To clean an electric kettle, a solution of citric acid or fresh lemon juice must be boiled in a kettle, then pour clean water and boil again. If limescale deposits appear in the washing machine, add acid to the powder tray and turn on the high temperature wash cycle.
All you need is a pinch of baking soda. She does a great job with fat. If you’re worried about scratching your plates, turn the baking soda into a paste with a little water. Another effective remedy for dirty pots is mustard powder. It should be applied to the surface of the dishes with a damp sponge or set up a “bath” for the ladles – fill the sink with water, add a couple of tablespoons of mustard powder, stir until foamy and leave the dishes in the solution for a couple of hours. You just have to wipe it with a sponge and rinse. Even a burnt frying pan will not resist such a headwash. By the way, soda and mustard are not just cheap detergents, but also the safest ones, they are successfully used in kindergartens.
Self-made gel will help to wash countertops, stove and other kitchen surfaces. He, unlike powders, will not leave scratches and marks. Rub regular laundry soap on a fine grater (you need a quarter cup). Dissolve the soap in 500 g of hot water. Then gradually add two tablespoons of glycerin, the same amount of lemon juice and a teaspoon of vodka or alcohol. Stir the ingredients slowly to dissolve better. Store in a dispenser bottle.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW
· If the cleaning agent does not have information on how to use it and precautions, do not buy it. If used improperly, there is a risk not only to spoil things, but also harm your health.
· Sprays and tubes, which have a long instruction in a foreign language and a small sticker with a free translation of certain data into Russian, should alert you. Quite often, buyers make an unscrupulous translation, and as a result, a carpet cleaner is actually hidden under the dishwashing liquid.
· Do not experiment with folk recipes that have not been tested by experts. On the Internet, there are tips for cleaning glass with ammonia, removing mold with a mixture of peroxide and vinegar. These funds are ineffective, rather aggressive, and more dangerous than harmless.
