Gelatin (Gelatine, E441) – transparent viscous mass, colorless or having a yellowish tint, a product of processing of connective tissue of animals.
Gelatin is used in the production of:
- food products (food gelatin);
- photographic materials (photographic gelatin);
- pharmaceutical dosage forms in the form of capsules;
- newspapers, magazines, money (included in some printing inks);
- cosmetics.
