E4 error in the Krona dishwasher – how to fix it

What to do if the Krona dishwasher showed an E4 error? You need to find the decoding of the icons and try to fix the problem. This error is due to the fact that the hopper is full of water.

The dishwasher is equipped with a board that controls the operation of all components and parts. It is equipped with a self-diagnosis system and detects malfunctions. Then the module displays an error code on the display – a brief description is in the instructions, and read our article for details.

Why is the fault code E4 on the display

For what reasons PMM “Krona” can show error E4 on the display? You will see it if too much water has accumulated in the chamber. This is dangerous as it can lead to leakage.

How does the water set in the dishwasher. The inlet valve receives a signal from the board, its membrane opens, and water begins to flow into the system. The level sensor (pressure switch) determines its amount in the tank, sending a signal to the module about the completion of the intake.

It turns out that the cause of such a problem could be:

  1. Pressostat malfunction.
  2. Failure of the filling valve.

How to fix a problem

Eliminate system failure before troubleshooting. To remove the icons from the screen, do this:

  • unplug the PMM plug from the socket;
  • reconnect after 10-15 minutes.

If this does not help, inspect the details.

Check intake valve. It is usually located at the bottom of the case:

  • close the shut-off valve;
  • disconnect the inlet hose – be careful, water may flow from it;
  • there is a valve behind it – see if its contacts are burnt;
  • проверьте механическую часть, подав на катушки детали рабочее напряжение 220 В. Мембрана открывается и закрывается? Значит, элемент рабочий.

In the event of a breakdown, the membrane is wedged in the open position, so water is supplied without stopping.

In the event of a malfunction, a complete replacement of the valve will help. To do this, disconnect the wiring chips and unscrew the mounting bolt. With the old element, you can go to the store to find a suitable replacement. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

To diagnose the pressure switch, you will have to disassemble the car. In Bosch and Siemens models, it is connected to a circulation pump. Therefore, the approach to the part is carried out through the bottom of the equipment.

How to replace the level sensor, we wrote in a separate publication. Checking is simple: inspect the wiring. In the event of a malfunction, the sensor must be replaced.

Do not be alarmed when you notice the E 4 error on the screen of the Krona dishwasher. Now you have the meaning and decryption of the code – you can fix the problem yourself.
