Why PMM Krona gives an error
The self-diagnostic system fixes a malfunction in the dishwasher, and then displays the error code E3 on the display. Fault icons in the instructions “Krona” mean: long-term heating of water to the set temperature. Possible causes are also listed:
- Incorrect operation of the temperature sensor.
- Malfunction of the heating element.
Problems with the heating element are also indicated malfunctions E6, E7.
It seems that the cause of the breakdown is serious and you will have to check and replace parts. In this case, it is not. The E3 code indicates not only problems with heating, but also a clogged drain filter. It tells the user that it’s time to clean up the system.
How to fix the problem
You can deal with the problem yourself. Sometimes the cause of the error on the screen is a system failure. To eliminate this possibility, try resetting the icons. What do we have to do:
- disconnect the equipment from the network;
- wait 10-15 minutes;
- turn on the dishwasher.
Is the code on the board again? Then you need to eliminate the blockage of the filter, which consists of:
- the main element that accumulates contaminants that are washed into the sewer with a special jet from the sprayer;
- a coarse filter that traps large pieces of food, napkins, bones;
- fine cleaning element, which accumulates small impurities and does not allow them to settle on the dishes.
How to fix the situation:
- Open the PMM hopper door.
- Pull out the dish baskets.
- In the pan you will see a drainage filter.
- Unscrew the part from the pallet, remove the mesh behind it.
- Clean and rinse everything under the pressure of water. You can use a soft brush and detergent for heavy soiling.
Also check the hole behind the filter, there should be no foreign objects.
You can avoid this problem if you regularly clean the drain. Experts recommend cleaning once a week, and preferably immediately after washing. Do not forget to clean the dishes well before loading them into the chamber.
Fixing the problem is not difficult, but it is better not to allow it to appear. Take care of your equipment, then no problems will touch it.
