E1400 Dextrins, heat-treated starch, white and yellow

Dextrin, dextrin white, dextrin yellow (Dextrins roasted starch white and yellow, dextrin, E1400) – stabilizer, thickener, binder.

A substance obtained by heat treatment of potato or corn starch. It is formed from starch in the human oral cavity under the action of α-amylases.

It is used mainly for the preparation of adhesives, as well as in the food, light industry and foundry.
