Thanks to the electronic control board, dishwashers have a self-diagnosis system. When a malfunction occurs, the module sends a fault code to the PMM display. If you notice that the Krona dishwasher gives an E1 error on the display, it means that no water enters the hopper.
Decoding and causes of the malfunction
Error code E 1 in Krona models indicates that the waiting time for water intake has expired – it has not been drawn into the tank. Why does this happen:
- Blockage in the inlet hose, filter, valve.
- Inlet valve failure.
- Operation of the Aquastop leakage protection (in such cases it may seem code E15).
- Break in the electrical circuit.
First rule out a possible network failure, try to reset the error:
- Unplug the machine.
- Wait 15-20 minutes.
- Restart. Are the icons lit on the screen? You need to look for the problem.
Debugg
You have loaded the dishes, started the washing cycle. Water began to flow through the pipes, but did not get inside, or a very small amount accumulated. What to do, how to fix the problem?
Possible blockage
Small debris, rust, which clog parts, enter the system from the sewer. Start by checking the hose:
- Shut off the water supply.
- Unscrew the hose from the PMM body.
- Look inside. If there is a blockage, rinse it under pressure from the tap.
- Then inspect the filter mesh. Wash it too, and in case of severe contamination, soak in a solution of citric acid.
- Next, inspect the intake valve passages.
If no blockage is found, proceed to check the performance of the element.
Valve malfunction
Additionally, you need to check its wiring. The control board sends a signal to the valve about the intake of water, its membrane opens and passes the flow. But if the wiring is broken, then the signal does not reach its destination. How to fix the situation? The loop needs to be replaced.
To test the valve, apply a working voltage of 220 volts to its coil. Does the membrane open? So the item is working.
The electronic part can be checked with a multimeter. Attach the probes to the contacts of the part. The working element should show from 2 to 4 kOhm. In case of breakage, install a new part.
Hose “Aquastop”
Inlet hoses are often equipped with a mechanical “Aquastop”. Inside there is an absorbent sponge, which, when leaking, is saturated with water and shuts off the flow. In this case, only replacement of the part will help.
Now you know why the Krona dishwasher can show E1 icons on the screen. Use our instructions, fix the problem with your own hands.
