Primary healthcare facilities are being recruited for the pilot program E-stethoscope, which will cover at least 19 patients with coexisting respiratory diseases after coronavirus infection. Applications can be submitted until May XNUMX.

E-stethoscope – a new program of the Ministry of Health

The ministry said that the program assumes the use of electronic stethoscopes (simple devices that can be used to examine the lungs at home) as part of teleportation provided by primary care physicians.

POZ facilities that have an agreement with the NFZ regarding the services of a primary care physician and are interested in participating in the E-stethoscope pilot program should complete the application at www.konkursy.mz.gov.pl. All questions regarding the recruitment should be directed to the following address [email protected]

The recruitment will be continued until the number of electronic stethoscopes for pilotage is exhausted.

The Ministry of Health announced that it provides for the possibility of selecting offers from all over the country, taking into account the order of applications and declarations of the estimated number of patients reported by POZ facilities to participate in the program. The pilot will cover at least one thousand adult patients with coexisting respiratory diseases after COVID-19.

Institutions that qualify for the program will receive electronic stethoscopes and then make them available to patients for remote diagnostics through teleportation.

Activities financed under the grant include conducting research with the use of an electronic stethoscope and filling in the questionnaire via the Home Medical Care platform – DOM. For each completed test, the facility will receive PLN 100 gross.

E-stethoscope – how does it work?

MZ explains that the e-stethoscope is able to transform acoustic sound into electronic signals that can be further amplified for optimal listening. The electronic signals are then processed, digitized and sent to the doctor’s computer.

How to use telemedicine services?

Do you have a health problem and the lines to see the doctor are very long? Telemedicine is there for you! In just 10 minutes on the haloDoctor platform you can talk to a specialist and receive an e-prescription

«It is enough for the doctor to tell the patient during the teleportation exactly where to put the earpiece of the stethoscope, and the device will precisely analyze the sounds from his chest. The listening session from the patient’s lung examination will be sent to the doctor. In case of doubts as to the quality of the service provided, the doctor may decide to change the form of further diagnostics and treatment of the patient », states MZ.

The e-stethoscope use program in telemedicine was introduced on the basis of the ordinance of the Minister of Health of April 16, 2021 on the pilot program for the use of electronic stethoscopes in primary health care.

The program will be implemented in three stages – qualification of POZ facilities to the program, provision of services with the use of electronic stethoscopes, and evaluation of the pilot program.

The implementation of the projects will last 6 months and will end no later than 30.11.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX. The E-stethoscope project was created as part of the Home Medical Care program.
