Child psychologist Ekaterina Murashova offers us a collection of pedagogical (and psychological) tasks – real stories from her practice. Each is accompanied by answer options. Having chosen your option, you can look at the end of the book and find out which answer the psychologist considers correct.
No one wants to play with Edik in kindergarten, 10-year-old Vasya began to run away from home after his parents divorced, 13-year-old Ira demands that his stepfather “get out” of their house and threatens his parents with suicide … What would you do if you were their parents ? Child psychologist Ekaterina Murashova offers us a collection of pedagogical (and psychological) tasks – real stories from her practice. Each is accompanied by answer options – possible parental decisions. Having chosen your option, you can look at the end of the book and find out which answer the psychologist considers correct. All stories are divided into groups: about children aged 2-5, 6-11 and 12-16 years old. But it’s hard not to read them all: in each, one way or another, our common parental difficulties shine through. The main thing in this “exam”, writes Ekaterina Murashova, is not to guess the correct answers (we have the right to disagree with the psychologist’s conclusions), but to reflect and answer our important life questions. That is why the book will also be of interest to parents of already adult children, and to grown-up children too.
