The woman was subjected to a standard examination, incl. oxygen saturation was checked, physical examination of the lungs and computed tomography of the chest were performed. Only the last study showed an 11-millimeter nodule in the lower part of the right lobe. He was surgically excised.
Subsequent analysis of the collected material showed that the lesion in the lungs was the stroma of the endometrium, i.e. cells of the uterine mucosa. Hemoptysis was one of the symptoms of lung lesions. However, the procedure performed improved the 26-year-old’s comfort of life, and the symptoms did not return.
