Duck with potatoes can be the main dish at a festive feast. And sometimes a dish from these ingredients can be prepared for a regular dinner. In any case, the duck meat has a good flavor and will give the potatoes a special flavor.
Duck with potatoes is a great combination.
From these products, you can cook stewed potatoes familiar from childhood. This common dish can sparkle with new colors if you add duck there. To avoid having to separate the meat from the bones while eating, take the pulp.
Use the following ingredients:
- duck pulp – 0,5 kg.;
- potatoes – 1 kg.;
- onions – 1 pcs.;
- carrots – 1 pcs .;
- sour cream – 2 tbsp. spoons;
- For seasoning, you need a pinch of caraway seeds, salt and pepper.
Then follow the algorithm:
- Cut the pulp into small pieces, put it in a pan, cover with water and let simmer over low heat;
- When all the water has evaporated, add chopped onions and carrots;
- Transfer the contents of the pan to the saucepan;
- Cut the potatoes into large cubes and send them to the container with the rest of the products;
- Pour the contents of the pan with water, season with spices and mix thoroughly;
- Simmer until cooked.
A hearty lunch is ready.
What to cook for a holiday from duck and potatoes
Use these ingredients to make whole baked duck:
- duck – 1 carcass;
- potatoes – 1 kg.;
- apple – 1 pcs .;
- garlic – 1 pcs.;
- mayonnaise – 5 tbsp. spoons;
- You will also need pepper and salt to taste.
To properly prepare such a dish, strictly follow the following sequence of actions:
- Rinse the duck under running water and dry with napkins;
- Make a marinade by mixing mayonnaise, finely chopped garlic, salt and pepper;
- Thoroughly wipe every centimeter of the carcass and leave it to soak for half an hour;
- Cut the potatoes into medium cubes and the apples into thin slices;
- Place the crushed apples inside the duck;
- Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and pour the potatoes into it, on top of which place the duck;
- Cover the entire baking dish with a long sheet of foil so that the moisture does not evaporate and the dish turns out juicy;
- Send the baking sheet to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for an hour;
- Take out the mold and free it from the foil and put the duck in the oven again for 15 minutes.
The ceremonial duck and potato feast is ready to be served!
Despite the fact that duck meat has lost its popularity, you should not discount it. After all, you can cook from it both a festive dish and an ordinary hearty dinner.
