Each additional day of storage increases the mortality of embryos by about 1%, while the incubation time increases by 40 minutes. Chick viability will also be reduced due to long storage.

To increase the level of hatchability, use the following techniques:

• it is best to place eggs horizontally or with a sharp end up;
• during storage, the fetus should be rotated at a certain interval of time;
• before storing eggs, you need to warm up one time;
• the storage medium must contain a large amount of nitrogen.

Eggs are heated no later than 3 days after fertilization. One-time heating prior to storage will significantly improve incubation performance. Heating is carried out to an indicator of 37,5 ° C. This measure will increase the hatchability of eggs by 10%.
