For those who are not yet familiar with this diet, we will briefly talk about the rules for losing weight. You have to go through four stages, during each of them you have to follow a certain diet. By the way, it is not necessary to limit yourself in the amount of food.

“Attack” – the first stage, it lasts from 2 to 7 days. During this time, it is possible to lose weight by 1,5-4 kg. Only protein foods are allowed. This meat is beef, veal, offal, poultry, lean bacon. You can include fish, eggs, low-fat dairy products in the menu. There are 72 products on the allowed list, no other food can be taken.

“Cruise” – the second phase. It is necessary to alternate protein and vegetable dishes. One day we eat meat and fish, the next day meat, fish and vegetables (raw and boiled). Potatoes, beans are prohibited. This stage lasts until the weight is ideal.

“Consolidation“- a stage aimed at consolidating the results. The length of the period depends on the amount of lost kilograms. We lost 5 kg – we fix the result for 50 days, lost 10 kg – 100 days. During the “Consolidation”, the usual products gradually and gradually return to the menu.

“Stabilization” – the stage of the diet, in which there are almost no restrictions. It is needed so that the kilograms do not come back. During this stage, one day a week you need to adhere to the “Attack” diet, eat 3 tbsp. oat bran per day, drink at least 2 liters of liquid per day, do not forget about moderate physical activity.

Who is contraindicated in the Ducan diet?

Ducan’s diet is based on a protein diet. There are no carbohydrates left on the menu, and therefore this method of losing weight is not suitable for everyone. Discard it if:

  • you are under 18 years of age. The growing body will be sorely lacking useful trace elements and minerals. The protein diet is not balanced, it lacks vitamin C, and vitamin D is four times the norm. Due to the lack of cereals in the menu, vitamin B deficiency is also possible. The first complication that can occur against the background of a diet is menstrual irregularities.
  • You are planning a pregnancy or are already pregnant. The fact is that sex hormones are fat-dependent, so a lack of fat causes hormonal disruption. For the same reason, the Ducan diet is contraindicated in women during menopause.
  • You suffer from diseases of the gallbladder, intestines. Fat deficiency will lead to complications of these ailments. Lack of fiber will inevitably lead to constipation.
  • You have problems with the cardiovascular system, weak blood vessels, high cholesterol levels. Severe vitamin deficiency will further worsen the health condition.
  • You have kidney problems. During the diet, the load on them will increase. By the way, not all people know that they suffer from kidney diseases. With a diet, problems can suddenly escalate. For example, eating protein can lead to kidney stones. Due to the fact that during the diet you need to drink a lot of fluids, edema may occur.
  • Your job requires mental strain. Our brain eats carbohydrates, if it lacks fuel, headaches, mood swings, fatigue, irritability begin.
  • Your skin and hair are not perfect. As a result of a lack of vitamin B, wrinkles appear, hair becomes brittle and dull.
  • You care about the impression you make on others. An excess of protein leads to bad breath and body odor.
