Dry calluses usually appear on the feet, affecting the phalanx of the big toe or little toe. Corn hurts rarely, but it causes some inconvenience. However, you can reduce the build-up yourself.
In fact, dry corn is the body’s defense reaction to your actions. Calluses usually appear on the toe, where the shoe most often rubs the foot, or on the foot, where injuries are common. However, if you find a corn that has appeared out of nowhere, think about it. It can signal serious pathologies associated with a lack of vitamin A, we can talk about cataracts, kidney disease, vascular dystonia, etc.
First, give up uncomfortable shoes, high heels and leatherette. Wear soft, breathable slippers, preferably in fabric options.
Second, train yourself to rest your legs. Arriving at the office, take off your shoes for a couple of minutes, restore blood circulation, walk barefoot. After work, put on cotton socks and do the old exercise: climb onto your toes, lower yourself onto your heels. And so 15-20 times.
If you notice that the corn has a core that goes deep into the skin, do not self-medicate, consult a doctor: this can be a symptom of a serious injury
Do not cut off the corn, do not try to pierce with a needle! Grate the carrots and the resulting gruel, wrapped in cheesecloth, attach to the growth. Hold for 10 minutes, after which with your hands try to remove the softened skin from the corn. It is not worth rubbing with a pumice stone, even if the corn is old, you injure your skin or you may infect an infection.
It will not be possible to get rid of the build-up the first time, so please be patient. You need to treat in courses. For example, on the first day you soften the build-up with carrots, and on the second you apply sea buckthorn or rosehip oil (sold in a pharmacy) to the affected area, the next day again carrots, then oil again.
Another method is based on the use of foot baths and is designed to remove large calluses. Dissolve sea salt in hot water and soak your feet in it for 20 minutes. The skin on the legs will noticeably soften. With your hands and only your hands, with gentle massage movements, remove the dead skin layers, apply a greasy cream and put on cotton socks all night. This soaking should be done daily.
If the corn is small, use aloe. Cut open a fresh leaf and tape to the bump. Do not expect instant action, but over time, the callus will go away. However, any treatment should be systematic, even if once you managed to remove the corn, this does not mean that it will not appear again. Easier to prevent – take preventive baths.
If, along with the appearance of calluses, you notice that the heels have begun to crack, add a little vinegar to the foot baths, it will save you from infections. However, after the procedures, be sure to apply a greasy cream to your feet.
For corns and dry calluses, we recommend Lanovit cream and Namozol-911, they, like aloe, soften the skin well and restore its regenerative properties.
In a medical institution, dry corn will most likely be offered to be excised. Cosmetologists use a laser. Both are painful methods, an anesthetic injection is given before the procedures. It is worth resorting to them only in extreme cases.
