The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the disappearance of a 20-year-old student from Crimea, Lilia Birulina, who went on a boat trip with a new acquaintance and never returned.

Lilia moved to Sevastopol from Chelyabinsk last winter, entered Sevastopol State University and worked as a tutor in her free time. She met a 43-year-old businessman Peter Sh, founder and CEO of the network of private nursing homes “Care”.
On September 29, Lilia went on a boat trip with a new acquaintance. Since then, she has not been seen again.
The girl’s mother was the first to feel that something was wrong. On October 13, she planned to visit her daughter, but since last weekend she could not contact her. The fact that Lilia disappeared was written by her older sister Anna on social networks.
However, Peter Sh. Returned from that walk. The man has already been found, he testified. According to his version, while riding on a boat, Lilia jumped into the water and he never saw her again. The man claims that he tried to find her, but in the end he returned alone.
However, Peter soon recanted his initial testimony and hired a lawyer. It was assumed that he will undergo a polygraph examination, but this never happened.
A representative of Lilia’s family named Evgeny told the portal “”That a certain man (presumably the same Peter) called them to arrange a meeting.

Now, according to Birulina’s mother, the investigation is working with Peter. She also voiced a possible scenario for the development of events: “Lilia and her new friend went out to sea. A friend swam to the shore, he says that she drowned before his eyes. “
However, this version raises many questions, since local residents say that there was no storm on the day the girl disappeared.
“It was preliminarily established that after lunch on September 29 this year, the girl went out with her companion for a boat trip from the Krugla Bay. Based on the information received from the man, the student disappeared while bathing. Currently, a group of experienced investigators and forensic investigators has been formed, which, in cooperation with the transport police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, carries out search activities, which is what all the courts in the water area are focused on, ”said the investigators, who officially opened a criminal case on the murder.
