PSYchology

The driving force, source, engine of growth and development can be the person himself, but there are two principles in a person:

  • Positive or negative forces within a person.

Whether we like it or not, something always pushes us somewhere or pushes us away from something. We are constantly experiencing unconscious movements of the soul and body within the zero position of perception — bodily automatisms, built-in habits, habitual fears and natural drives. Children often live in a bright world and on positive motivation, with age the situation changes. For a mass personality, the internal stimulus of activity is, as a rule, negative motivation (fear, boredom, the need to compensate for the lost — see →), a developed personality uses both positive and negative motivation, depending on the situation and the tasks ahead. See →

  • own conscious initiative.

The conscious choice of a person, the volitional component, the realization of the first and higher position of perception: «I actively develop myself.»

Society can be the driving force, the engine of growth and development: parents, school, representatives of various public and state institutions (“They work with me”).

In summary: the engine of growth and development can be:

  • natural internal source «Some kind of motor inside of me»
  • own conscious initiative: «I actively develop myself»
  • initiative of other people or organizations: “They are working with me”

In combination with who or what sets the direction of growth and development, a rich typology of growth and development of the individual can be built.

Personality Features

It is possible that some people have an innate motivation to grow and develop their personality. See Evolving Personality

Definitely, there are people for whom the value and motivation to develop their own personality at some stage in their life is leading, determining, more important than the values of Personal life and the value of Business-work-business.

The Creator has a stable motivation for development when there is an external request for it (people and the cause need it).

The Parasite and the Consumer have no independent motivation for development. When the body wants to move and develop, they move and develop. When energy disappears with age, they lie down on the sofa in the absence of external kicks and begin to decompose, degrade.
