Absinthe has a well-established reputation as a drink that induces daydreams. One of the absinthes produced by the Czech company L’or special drinks is called Dreams. The name is right: a modern absinthe made from well-refined grain alcohol, crystal clear water and fragrant herbs from the Pilsen region of the Czech Republic can really set even the most stubborn realist in a romantic mood.
Absinthe Dreams is made according to a slightly improved old French recipe, using maceration technology (the infusion of herbs is not distilled, but filtered), due to which the drink has the color of wormwood scorched by the sun. Absinthe strength – 70%. Its aroma is dominated by anise-spicy notes with a slight honey tinge. Moderately bitter taste is softened by the delicate sweetness of licorice.

The co-owner of Absintery, Pavel Varga (part-time director of L’or special drinks), is firmly convinced that absinthe is suitable for every occasion, it is only important to choose the right type of drink. For a male company, the strongest absinthe with a high content of thujone is ideal, for an anniversary – an expensive drink with a warm spicy taste.
But for a corporate party, a student party or just a friendly feast in a bar, you need high-quality absinthe, but not too expensive, with a pleasant aroma and obligatory branded bitterness, but without the sharpness inherent in old varieties. It is to these requirements that the Dreams absinthe meets.
Connoisseurs note that it is especially good in cocktails, but if you wish, you can drink it just like that, with sugar and ice. L’or special drinks was founded in 1994. For more than 20 years it has been producing various varieties of absinthe. The company’s factory is located in the vicinity of the town of Pradlo, in the Pilsen region. The owners of the company, Pavel Varga and Jiri Cerny, themselves participate in the creation of new varieties of wormwood.
