Dream room: 7 nurseries, created according to the drawings of babies

It turns out that it is possible to make any fantasy come true if you know how to get down to business.

How do we usually approach the arrangement of the nursery? We take a budget, we take our ideas about beauty and convenience, we arm ourselves with the knowledge of zoning and how colors affect children’s behavior – and off you go. Few people are interested in the child’s opinion. Or maybe in vain? London-based creative studio NeoMam Studios, at the request of the American home services site Angie’s List, created design projects for children’s rooms based on children’s drawings. Seven kids were asked to draw a dream bedroom – and this is what happened.

The kid drew a room in which a forest wizard could live: a lot of greenery, even a tree grows right inside the house. As the young artist himself explained, this is an oak tree on which squirrels live. And there is also a pond with fish, a bed in the shape of an oak leaf, a table and a TV, a computer. Well, you can’t live in the forest at all, you need to add at least a little modernity!

When the boy was shown what had happened, a childish sadness appeared in his eyes. “Yes, I would like to live there,” Elias said sadly. After all, it is unlikely that parents will start such repairs to make his dream room.

The girl loves to draw, play chess and just play, her favorite colors are blue and purple, because they are the most magical, and her favorite foods are chocolate and pears, because they are delicious. Viola’s room in the drawing turned out to be joyful, bright and light: there is a rainbow, and color, and the sun, and clouds.

And all this found a place in the nursery. Looking at the result, Viola said that the picture radiates warmth, sun, joy. What else do you need to be happy?

The girl loves nature, walks in the woods – and she tried to transfer all this to the best of her abilities on paper. Flowers, grass around the bed, even a slide from the playground is nearby. The bed, mirror and pillows on the bed Inaya painted oval. And she designed the wall in the form of a puzzle.

Seeing the finished design project, Inaya decided that it was a photograph of a real room and asked when she could go and sit there. The designers had to upset the baby and explain that this is just a picture. She’s just very pretty.

The boy wished for a multi-tiered bed, like a skyscraper, so that he could invite many friends. But the top floor of the high-rise bed must be Martin’s. And this should be clear. Getting out of bed was supposed to be on a spiral slide, like in a water park. There should also be a large window, a Lego cabinet, an aquarium, and a large flower. But these yellow things are a candy machine.

Seeing the result, Martin could not believe that all this was done according to his sketch. And he was really proud that the top bed was signed with his name.

Gala’s room is a whimsical mixture of a forest hut and a princess room. A tree grows in the room, a parrot lives on the tree. A swing hangs on the branches – for Gala and her younger brother. There is a large illuminated mirror, a dressing table with a bunch of bottles, a bookcase full of books and flowers, and a cute bed on which a toy penguin sits.

Seeing the “come to life” room, Gala was delighted. Now she hopes to save enough money for at least one day in the nursery of her dreams.

Harry decided to approach the design of the room in detail, as if collecting it from the details of “Lego”. And so that the designers did not get confused, he signed all the most important things in the drawing. A fur rug, an LED floor, a sofa with heated seats, a playroom hidden under the bed, a mini-shooting range on the second floor, and a hatch leading to a secret bunker.

With such detailed instructions, it was hard for designers to go wrong. They created exactly what Harry wanted – the boy admitted that he would like to live in such a room.

Lavender shades, a fur rug, a half-wall illuminated mirror – it’s immediately clear that a girl lives here. Briana wanted the room to have a lot of space for guests, so that at least three people could fit on the bed, so that there was a TV and a computer, a desk, a fur rug – in general, she thought of everything to the smallest detail. And she even provided for a changing illumination on the mirror.

“Nice,” Briana sighed when she saw the finished project. “Especially the sofa, the bed and the dressing table.” And she sighed again.
