Drawing for children 2-3 years old at home: non-traditional techniques, fingers, paints
Do not underestimate the importance of drawing for children 2–3 years old. Thanks to “kalyak-malyak” kids learn to interact with the outside world and transform their vision of objects and images into dots, stripes and blots. In addition, drawing helps the child to improve fine motor skills, to understand the shapes and colors, and also develops the artistic taste of the baby.
Developing drawing lesson
At the age of 2-3 years they are happy to draw on everything that comes to hand. Parents need to channel this energy in the right direction, and then this activity will be invaluable. But in order for the exercises to be a joy to the baby, in no case should you force him. In addition, do not get annoyed if your baby does not draw the way you would like. Remember, he is a small artist and he has his own opinion about the painting.

Do not expect your toddler to be able to paint complex pictures at this age. For a start, all his masterpieces will consist of incomprehensible dots and scribble, but over time they will become more meaningful and attractive. To develop a craving for drawing in a kid, you can use the following methods:
- Painting forms. Give the kid a coloring book or draw a picture yourself, but the kid should paint it. This exercise is excellent for developing hand-eye coordination.
- Drawing lines. Drawing like this is useful for little fingers. To make it interesting for the kid to draw lines, you can depict the animals in their house, and invite the child to bring the animals home.
- Points. Invite your child to draw rain or seeds for the birds. This exercise markedly improves the child’s coordination and eye.
In addition, stencils and stamps can be used for drawing lessons with your baby. The best tools for kids’ art will be regular watercolors. Thanks to them, the baby will quickly figure out how to mix colors and get a new shade. You can draw on any surface, but for small children it is better to choose a larger sheet of paper.
