– The covid civil war has moved to another stage. We could notice it from the very beginning, when different groups on FB were telling each other what they were saying. They spoke dramatic words for us, for the environment, dramatic for the understanding of the essence of public health. We were challenged and criticized. probably some of us cared, some less, but it affects all of us. If we act for the common good, then one should expect at least a calm reflection, and not this type of behavior – said Dr. Sutkowski.

– We were not prepared for it, it is a new sociological phenomenon for me. COVID-19 is now more of a sociological phenomenon than just a medical one. One Rubicon has been crossed. Aggression, rudeness, vulgarity … It will repeat itself. We are not at the end of this road, on the contrary – added the doctor.

What’s worse, they discourage vaccination in this way, try to create an atmosphere that we are acting for something bad, and the exact opposite is true. Janusz Schwertner, who hosts the program, emphasized that doctors work hard to educate, spend extra time reporting on the pandemic, and that hate is getting worse.

– We try to do it, we will do it. In no way will any colleague who speaks in public be discouraged, on the contrary. It motivates me to speak as I say, calmly, mainly to the unconvinced, because we will not reach those who did brawls yesterday. This is a lost group, I am sad to say it … – admitted Dr. Michał Sutkowski.

– Fortunately, in Poland, most people understand the need for vaccinations, but there is a group of 20, 30%, people who hesitate, have no opinion, learn from the Internet and we must reach them, because this is a group that will add value, which will result in the fact that we can have much less trouble than what is expected today – added Dr. Sutkowski.
