What does Dr. Grzesiowski say?
Dr. Grzesiowski is an expert who often speaks in the media in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. Sometimes his comments are blunt, but the same can also be said about other doctors or virologists who dispel public doubts about the coronavirus epidemic or COVID-19 vaccines. Which statements might not appeal to the Chief Sanitary Inspector?
In November, during the Onet Morning program, Dr. Grzesiowski said that the authorities did not want to admit that “the system had collapsed”. “This is the biggest problem – crisis management is not about issuing orders, but about organizing the health care emergency,” added the doctor.
A doctor at TVN24 asked, for example, who in the health department forgot to order additional batches of vaccines in the spring. In his opinion, the fact that we had 2 ml of COVID-19 vaccines in the fall meant we had no immunization program. Dr. Grzesiowski also admitted that no one consulted family doctors in the new strategy of fighting the virus. He was also not an enthusiast of teleportation during the pandemic.
Due to the chaos related to the registration for vaccinations of people 40+, the doctor decided to comment on the matter on Twitter.
«The vaccination system is failing because of hackers, but because of information chaos. Another, nightly, change of the rules of registration for vaccinations, in principle right, without prior preparation, results in a crazy mess – dates that at the time of registration become obsolete. It is a failure »- wrote Dr. Grzesiowski.
At the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic, Dr. Grzesiowski wrote that the situation in Silesia was a “foreseeable catastrophe”.
After the lockdown was announced in March 2021, Dr. Grzesiowski criticized the lack of action to actively combat the virus.
– Apart from lockdown, nothing new has been proposed, it is not actively fighting the virus. You have to fight outbreaks, conduct epidemiological investigations. It functions in a rudimentary way – said Dr. Grzesiowski in an interview with TVN24.
It was also then that a statement about GIS was made.
– The key issue is also to rebuild trust in the sanitary inspection, which has ceased to exist in the public space. Lack of any new solutions in the healthcare sector – this is the worst. And we expect a worse wave than in the autumn, when 70 people died “excessively”. people. Healthcare must be ready for a huge number of patients. And today there is a lack of oxygen and staff, voivodes do not support hospitals at all – the expert assessed.
