According to Paweł Grzesiowski, an expert of the Supreme Medical Council on COVID-19, it is time for more radical actions. According to him, green certificates should be introduced, and some groups should be required to vaccinate against the coronavirus. These methods could stop the epidemic, explains Dr. Grzesiowski.
Coronavirus in Poland. Lockdown or restrictions for the unvaccinated?
Dr. Grzesiowski said on Radio Zet that in his opinion, a green passport should be introduced immediately, i.e. a vaccination certificate, a recovery certificate or the obligation to perform tests for the presence of coronavirus. Such a solution – in his opinion – should apply in every place where there are more than five people.
Additionally – as the expert argued – hybrid education should be introduced in most provinces, where there are a lot of these infections. – Such point closures of institutions will ensure the safety of children – said Grzesiowski.
– I would introduce compulsory vaccinations, e.g. for medics or teachers. These people should be vaccinated if they want to practice their profession. For me, an unvaccinated doctor or midwife is a professional failure. It is as if someone who works at a gas station comes to work with a flamethrower. It is excluded – emphasized Dr. Grzesiowski.

In his opinion, obligatory vaccinations for people over 50 should also be introduced in Poland. – These are the people who die most often from COVID-19. Vaccinations are effective in saving lives – he stressed.
The expert estimated that introducing restrictions for unvaccinated people is the only effective method of fighting the coronavirus.
— Society must defend itself against individuals who do not respect other people’s health. Here there is no choice between the less good. I am not in favor of being forced to vaccinate, but I am in favor of green certification. Everyone should take the test to be able to participate in joint events – noted the expert of the Supreme Medical Council on COVID-19.
– Thanks to vaccinations, we can fight the pandemic differently and we do not have to close the whole country. We must, in a thoughtful and well-planned manner, stop the transmission of the coronavirus where it is greatest. For a month and a half, we have seen the most cases in the Lubelskie and Podlaskie voivodships. In provinces where the number of cases is high, we should introduce local restrictions on the transmission of the coronavirus – he said.
According to the guest of Radio ZET, the restrictions should apply to closed rooms. – It’s about concerts, weddings, schools, workplaces. Wherever people are in closed rooms and are not vaccinated, they should be thinned out. Another solution may be the obligation to perform tests for the presence of coronavirus – he said.
