Dr. Grzesiowski about Omikron: we will not have “peace of mind”
“In my opinion, unfortunately we will not have peace and the fifth wave will not be the last, because the virus is already mutating. Omikron already has three variants, so there is absolutely no guarantee that the mass illness will be stopped by the next waves. A large number of cases means that there will be many healers, but that does not mean that they will be protected for the rest of their lives ”- he said.
Asked whether the government waits for the epidemic to end by itself, without being held responsible by the government camp, he replied that “unfortunately, we have such an impression for a long time”. «This is a state that has lasted since the summer of 2021. The level of anti -andemic activities is minimal. And I’m not talking about lockdowns or closing entire sectors of the economy»- he explained.

In his opinion, “all of Poland today is swept by the wave of the omicron variant and now we can only mitigate the negative effects of this phenomenon, that is, save human lives. All forces and resources should be focused on this, but we do not even see it. There is no support for hospitals and medical services, ”he said.

Grzesiowski commented on the words of President Duda, who said that “COVID-19 is slowly turning into a relatively normal flu”. According to the doctor, “this is not true because this virus has completely different properties than the flu and will never be a flu”.
