Doodle play, unconventional drawing for kids

Many parents today strive to develop the creativity of their children. Together they attend circles, organize home evenings with drawing and creating crafts, find teachers who value a creative approach in education. Everyone chooses what is closer to him. However, psychologists are confident that the best effect in the learning and development of a child is achieved if the parents themselves participate in the classes. That is why it is great when you and your child have a common hobby. This can be, for example, drawing doodles. In addition, this is a great way of art therapy, an opportunity to dream up, develop imagination and spend interesting leisure time.

The English word doodle means “dash, squiggle, meaningless drawing, spontaneous scribbles.” It is a graphic style for creativity and self-expression. You can draw with pencils, pens, felt-tip pens and paints. You can make whole artbooks from notebooks with doodles, pasting clippings from magazines, decorating with buttons, sparkles and natural materials.

Doodles are very useful for both adults and children. When you paint without thinking and without planning in advance, you relax and feel the real freedom of creativity. Doodles calm you down, put your thoughts in order, can give you an interesting idea, and it’s just fun to draw them. Today, there are even special books with literary doodles – this is at the same time an opportunity to draw and remember your favorite works, and to introduce the child to the classics.

Here are some similar tasks for moms and children. Do not be lazy, do a couple with your child today.

1. Draw based on your favorite books by Lewis Carroll. For example, think of a pattern for the Hatter’s hat from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

2. Together with your child, compose a declaration of love for your dad, just as Romeo did for Juliet.

3. And if you are already preparing for Halloween, then it’s time to draw a cloak for Count Dracula.

4. Or are you planning a tea party? Then draw the invitations, like for Carroll’s crazy tea party, and hand them out to the invitees.

5. And if you wanted to play up, come up with a design for a bag for Anna Karenina with your child.

6. In one of these houses lived Mr. Darcy from the famous and beloved novel “Pride and Prejudice.” Draw your house next to it and decorate it as you like.

Draw doodles based on your favorite books, fantasize and become co-authors of famous writers. Even more creative tasks await you in the developing album “Literary Doodles”.
