Tequila “Don Julio” is a premium drink that is highly appreciated by connoisseurs who prefer high-quality alcohol. All varieties are made from pure blue agave juice without mixing with other spirits.
The main secret of Senor Estrada’s success is that he passionately loved his work. Noble tequila Don Julio is the best monument to this wonderful man.
Historical reference. More than anything in life, the founder of the brand, Don Julio Gonzalez Estrada, loved to receive guests. The señor was not devoid of vanity: regaling his friend with good tequila of his own making, he enjoyed listening to praise.
In 1942, Don Julio acquired a small distillery (distillery) located in the city of Atotonilco el Alto (Jalisco). It was difficult to choose the worst time to start a business. War raged in Europe, the people were rapidly impoverished, not only in Mexico, but also in the much richer United States. Due to the bankruptcy of the owners, distilleries were closed one after another.
But Senor Estrada did not care about such trifles: at first he was not at all going to sell tequila. Kegs with excellent alcohol he preferred either to give away to relatives and friends, or to store in the cellar in case of unexpected guests. The incorrigible optimist named his distillery La Primavera (translated from Spanish as “spring”).
Senor Estrada’s cherished dream was to create the perfect tequila that tastes great and does not give a hangover. From year to year Don Julio’s tequila got better and better. He did not recognize any newfangled additives that accelerate the fermentation process. Pure agave juice at his distillery was distilled with careful observance of traditional technology.
Over time, the fame of the talented tequilero spread far beyond the state, and don Julio had to start selling his products. It turned out that no crisis will scare off buyers who want to buy really high-quality tequila.
Don Julio did not leave his experiments almost until his death. For 40 years he perfected tequila. The company still produces alcohol according to his recipes.
