Don

Beer “Don” was created specifically for the South of Russia. Inexpensive, but pleasant in taste, brewed from natural ingredients and moderately strong drink is the best suited for people languishing from the heat. Its high quality is evidenced by the fact that Don is the only regional beer in Russia that is exported to the United States.

Historical reference. The Rostov brewery “Novaya Zarya”, built in 1974, has always been famous for the quality of its products. In 1997, the Baltika company acquired a controlling stake in the enterprise, the new owners modernized production and started updating the assortment.

The technologists of the plant were given the task of brewing beer that local residents and vacationers would be happy to buy. It was not about a premium variety: the drink had to be affordable, but at the same time of high quality.

The new beer, made in 1998, was called without fanfare – “Don”. Its different varieties were assigned numbers from 1 to 5. But the drink began to be in such demand that the producers had to take care of the design, the choice of original names, and the creation of new varieties. Unpasteurized types of beer have gained particular popularity: Don Zhivoe and Don Domashnee. In the manufacture, water is used, which goes through 5 stages of purification.

Today, Don beer is sold throughout the South of Russia: from Astrakhan and Volgograd to Stavropol, resorts on the Black Sea coast and the republics of the North Caucasus. The brand occupies about 18% of the market in the southern regions. Since 2008, Don beer has been a regular winner in the competitions “100 Best Goods of Russia” and “100 Best Goods of the Don”. Every year the brand sponsors a regional competition of fishermen, held under the slogan: “Fishing only with Don”.
