What is the Almased Diet?
I’ll start with what the program is. Almased are preparations included in the diet program created by Almased Wellness GmbH. It is a powdered preparation from which cocktails are prepared. The amount and frequency of Almased drinks consumed depends on the phase of the entire program.
Generally, however, the program is designed to be really associated with it for life. After the end of the manufacturer’s recommendations, it is recommended to use 2-3 tablespoons of the powder as part of the regeneration and cleansing of the body.
The powder can be dissolved in water or skim milk. It consists of: soy protein (50%), bee honey (25%), skimmed yoghurt milk powder, as specified on the packaging.

It is also supplemented with vitamins and minerals: potassium chloride, magnesium citrate, silicic acid, calcium citrate, vitamins: C, PP, B2, E, B6, A, D3, B12 and zinc oxide, iron fumarate, manganese sulfate, D -calcium pantothenate, folic acid, potassium and sodium iodide, biotin.
The size of the portion for the consumption of the powder needed to prepare the cocktail depends on the height of the person who wants to apply the treatment. For a person up to 165 cm, 1 serving is 50 g of powder.
The nutritional value of the powder in 50 g, which is enough to prepare 1 Almased drink with a height of 165 cm, is:
Energy: 177 kcal Protein: 27 g Fat: 1 g Carbohydrates: 15 g Phase I – lasts several days The manufacturer recommends consuming during the day:
- 1 meal in the form of vegetable broth
- 3 Almased drinks
- 2 teaspoons of oil, e.g. rapeseed oil
- 3-4 liters of water
Note: on the first day, the manufacturer recommends taking it laxative before starting the treatment.

For the calculations in the tables, I assumed that the powder is dissolved in water. In phase I, I also included vegetable broth as recommended in the program.
As you can see from the table, the first phase of the Almased program, even though it lasts only a few days, is very restrictive. It contains almost 60% less energy than an obese 165 cm person would eat on a balanced slimming diet. Eating such a small amount of calories can make you feel unwell, faint or faint.
In these first days, relatively much protein was offered, and very little fat and carbohydrates. The correct proportions are respectively: 10-20%, 25-30% and 50-65% of the energy share. In Almased the proportions are as follows: 55%, 8% and 37% of energy from protein, fat and carbohydrates.
The content of minerals and vitamins is not too bad. The iron requirement is quite nicely covered.
During this period, a lot of kilograms can drop, at the beginning it is mainly related to the loss of water from the body. The manufacturer advises not to use the first phase for more than a few days, as it may end up adversely on your health. I agree with the manufacturer, it can be dangerous.
Phase II – it lasts until you reach your target body weight – several months
The manufacturer recommends consuming during the day:
- 2 meals including 1 meal containing: lean meat or fish, cooked vegetables and whole grains
- 2 Almased drinks
- At least 2 liters of water

Depending on what these additional meals will be, the nutritional value of the diet in conjunction with drinks may improve or deteriorate. As additional meals I have here: fried chicken breast without fat, steamed broccoli, boiled buckwheat and a large graham, thinly spread with butter and tomato. I wanted these meals to be healthy and in line with the Almased Program recommendation.
In this phase forbidden are: pasta, refined sugar, white rice, white bread, sweets, dough, processed products, fried.
Depending on the day, what you add to these extra meals will be a phase in which there are about 1000 calories a day. Assuming that you have to use it until you reach your goal, i.e. drop 20 kg, the prospect is not very wise. So few calories for weeks? What about hunger? What about the excess skin that will appear with such a rapid loss of kilograms? The 1000 kcal diet is not for everyone and it will start losing so many kilograms. It can cause a very rapid weight loss. However, it will also reduce the rate of metabolic changes. This, in effect, will slow down the weight loss process in the later stages.
Phase III – stabilization – 4 weeks
The manufacturer recommends consuming during the day:
- In week I and II, 1 Almased drink a day
- In weeks III and IV, 1 Almased drink every other day
- 2 liters of water
- As for the number of meals, he does not specify exactly, but I assumed that for this you need to consume 3 meals

For the calculation, as additional meals I used: 2 large grahams thinly buttered with turkey meat and tomato, whole grain pasta with roasted chicken breast, oil and as snacks: natural yoghurt and an apple.
The stabilization phase is about increasing the amount of calories consumed every day and more traditional meals. This is a fairly large sudden jump from low to high energy. It is generally recommended that you adapt to your diet change in small increments. So such a sudden shift to more calories can be felt immediately in the form of weight gain.
The upside, however, is the fact that the creators of the program thought about getting out of weight loss. Although it does not seem like a well-thought-out approach.
When it comes to the nutritional value of such a menu with 1 drink a day, it is not too bad. But it still is too much protein, not enough calcium. However, we have more room to show off here, because we can choose traditional meals so that they are as well-balanced as possible. Therefore, this is the least dangerous phase for the body, although it is still necessary to fine-tune the nutritional details so that there are no deficiencies.
I think that in the very feeling this phase is survivable. However, you need to think carefully about what products to add to reduce the shortages as much as possible.
Phase IV – normal eating
Here we are already returning to normal food, but beware, because with the recommendation: “Do not overeat” and pay attention to the fact that the fat content does not exceed 60 g. For a layman quite difficult to calculate for himself, but possible to do and relatively quickly master. You can also eat vegetables, fruits, and low-fat dairy snacks.
As snacks, it is recommended to eat 3 tablespoons of Almased mixed with cold liquid once a day. The authors of the program say that this would be to restore the body or clean it
How Much Does the Almased Diet Cost?
Duration of individual phases:
Phase I – 3-4 days (600 g Almased powder) Phase II – a few months, let’s say 3-4 months (12 kg of Almased powder) Phase III – 4 weeks (1050 g Almased powder) Phase IV – for life (900 g Almased powder / month)
On the same phase I, II and IIIwhich is about 5 months, so it will be needed over 27 kg of powder Alamsed. Therefore, the cost of the slimming treatment with Almased at the average price of PLN 1 per 145 kg of powder, i.e. for 3 phases of weight loss and stabilization on 5 months is PLN 3904. This amounts to an expense of the order of the month 781 PLN.
Phase IV will cost almost 1 kg of powder per month, which is approx PLN 131 per month for the rest of my life.
Almased diet – reviews
Advantages of Almased:
- An easy-to-prepare meal replacement drink
- You don’t need to cook
- You don’t have to wonder what to eat tomorrow, because most of the Almased program you drink 2 drinks a day + 2 meals
Cons of Almased:
- Malo energy
- High in protein
- Very low in fat
- Monotony of application
- A restrictive low-calorie diet
- It may contribute to lowering the rate of metabolic changes, which, in consequence, in further stages of use may lead to slimming stagnation.
- Rapid weight loss can promote the formation of excess skin after weight loss
