Does rice bran help in the fight

Long research work on cancer cells and animal models has shown that the bioactive components contained in rice bran react with cancer cells. The researchers also found that the bioactive molecules of rice bran not only act on cancer cells but also around the cells, creating conditions in the surrounding tissues that allow for supporting the functioning of healthy cells and to inhibit the functioning of cancer cells.

Dr. Ryan and his fellow university colleagues Dr. Tiffany Weir and Dr. Rajesh Agarwal are now working on a project to see if rice bran can also help support the anti-cancer immune response, and can modulate the metabolism of gut bacteria to prevent colorectal cancer. Researchers at the University of Colorado Cancer Center are also conducting clinical trials on the effectiveness of rice bran in preventing recurrence of colorectal cancer. The world is close 100 kinds of rice, each of them has unique bioactive ingredients, and the main task for scientists is now to determine the ideal composition of these ingredients for use in chemoprevention.
