Doctors told the Russians that people vaccinated with domestic drugs may not worry about problems with the reproductive system.
Potential symptoms, complications and other health problems after vaccination are of great concern to the population. This topical question was repeatedly asked to doctors, however, for a long time, doctors could not give any definite answer. In connection with the deterioration of the epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Health insists: the faster the majority of the population is vaccinated, the faster we can defeat the pandemic. Therefore, scientists are actively conducting all kinds of research with regards to identifying side effects on the human body.
So, it turned out that males should not be afraid of problems with reproductive function. In the course of a series of analyzes, doctors found out that vaccination for men is safe. They also explain that vaccination with a Russian drug against coronavirus infection is not capable of harming the male reproductive system.
In the official statement of the press service of the National Medical Research Center of Endocrinology of the Russian Ministry of Health, it is reported that vaccination with “Sputnik V” did not have a negative effect on the levels of total testosterone and indicators of the quality of biological material.
At the same time, the coronavirus itself can be detrimental to the health of even a young athlete – experts suggested that the coronavirus could lead to infertility in the future. The material in one of the scientific publications caused a resonance in the media, but soon after that it was removed from the site. However, the question of whether the coronavirus leads to infertility has interested many colleagues. At the moment, there is no confirmed data on the danger of COVID-19 for men’s health. However, such a possibility is not excluded. Recently, the candidate of medical sciences, urologist Nikolay Dovgilev told the press about this.
According to the specialist, men who have had covid disease often experience serious reproductive damage. In this regard, within three months after the illness, they are not recommended to plan for conceiving a child.
“My medical practice also testifies to the fact that the transferred infection exacerbates chronic inflammatory diseases of urological nature, in particular prostatitis. In addition, in some cases, erectile function decreases, ”explained Dovgilev.
