There is no evidence that drinking alcohol after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine affects its effect, the UK drug and health regulator MHRA said on Tuesday.

In January, advisers to the charity Drinkaware, which is funded by the alcohol industry, said there was evidence that drinking alcohol, especially heavy drinking regularly, could interfere with the body’s ability to build up immunity in response to certain vaccines.

But neither the patient information leaflets nor the information provided by vaccine manufacturers say anything about such a link.
