For a long time, doctors voiced diametrically opposed opinions about whether to sleep during the day. Now, experts have finally finally decided: even a very short, lasting about 10-20 minutes, sleep during daylight hours brings invaluable benefits to the body.
At the same time, doctors emphasize that in order for the “siesta” to return vigor and good health, several rules should be observed. First of all, the period from 14 to 15 hours is considered the optimal period for rest – having gone “to rest” at a later time, you can get sleeplessness at night. The duration of a nap should not exceed half an hour – a longer sleep will “reward” with a feeling of weakness. Drink tea or juice just before you go to the side, the tonic components will begin to act in 30 minutes, just after waking up.
As for the healing effect of rest during the day, it activates cognitive activity, contributes to the normalization of blood pressure indicators, improves long-term memory, reduces the likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases, increases productivity, and sharpens the reaction. It has been proven that daytime rest reduces the risk of death from a heart attack by approximately 40%, and also prevents emotional and intellectual “burnout”.
