– We have undoubtedly the beginning of the fourth wave. So far, this is one or two on the Beaufort scale – said the president of Warsaw Family Physicians, doctor Michał Sutkowski, on TVN 24.

The fourth wave of COVID-19 is already in Poland

According to Dr. Sutkowski, “we are at the beginning of the fourth wave”. “That’s one or two on the Beaufort scale for now.” We are talking about the magic of small numbers, therefore these numbers, although increasing in numbers, are not high. But it will get worse – he explained. And he added that you have to follow the rules and do everything to make it better. He emphasized that vaccinations are the most important.

90 percent hospitalized people are unvaccinated

Doctor Paweł Grzesiowski drew attention to the number of vaccinated Poles. – You need to ask yourself why it happened that half of Poles did not believe in vaccine incentives, and it was spoken from various lips. If we know the reasons, we will understand why these people do not want to vaccinate, maybe the process could be reversed somehow. Although it is very late – concluded Dr. Grzesiowski.

– There are several, or maybe even a dozen or so, smaller groups in the total of 50% of Poles who have not been vaccinated, and each of these groups may have different reasons. But we didn’t even get any closer to getting to know their opinion, to reach these people. Our efforts, modest doctors who will call individual patients and encourage them to vaccinate, have no effect, said Dr. Grzesiowski.

Dr. Michał Sutkowski, when asked whether vaccinated people go to the hospital due to COVID-19, said that “there are so and so”. – But you have to say, of course, in what proportions. Over 90 percent people admitted to hospital are unvaccinated people.

Until September 6, 2021, 36 doses of various COVID-525 vaccines were administered in Poland. The first dose was 19 vaccinations. 18 people are fully vaccinated. These are people vaccinated with a single dose of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.
