Dobroson is a prescription preparation that is helpful in the fight against insomnia. The active substance of Dobroson is zopiclone, which has a hypnotic, sedative and anxiolytic effect. What are the contraindications to the use of Dobroson? How to properly dose the preparation and what is worth remembering?
Dobroson – composition and action
Dobroson is a drug that helps patients to deal with the problem of insomnia. The main ingredient of Dobroson is zopiclone, a hypnotic drug from the group of cyclopirolone derivatives. This compound binds to benzodiazepine receptors and causes specific reactions in the cell. The active substance of Dobroson works indirectly by increasing the ability of GABA to bind to the GABA-A receptor. GABA has an inhibitory effect on the activity of nerve cells, therefore zoplicon exerts an indirect inhibitory effect on the central nervous system. The main substance of the drug Dobroson has a hypnotic, sedative, anxiolytic and anticonvulsant effect. This drug also reduces muscle tension. The hypnotic and sedative effect of Dobroson is similar to that of benzodiazepine derivatives. The use of Dobrosan accelerates the process of falling asleep, significantly reduces the number of night awakenings, extends the time and improves the quality of sleep, and has a positive effect on the well-being after waking up.
Dobroson – indications and contraindications
The indication for the use of Dobroson is any problems related to falling asleep, peaceful and good-quality sleep. Dobroson is a drug indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia. It should be remembered that drugs based on components similar in action to benzodiazepines are indicated only in cases of severe sleep disorders that result in the inability to function properly and the state of complete exhaustion of the body. Dobroson makes it easier to fall asleep, but it cannot be used by all patients who struggle with sleep disorders. A contraindication to reaching for Dobroson is hypersensitivity to zopiclone or any of the ingredients of the preparation. Dobroson cannot be used by people who suffer from severe respiratory failure, myasthenia gravis, sleep apnea syndrome or severe liver failure. Particular precautions should be taken in the case of using other drugs acting on the central nervous system, i.e. psychotic drugs, hypnotics, sedatives, antidepressants, opioids, analgesics or antiepileptics. Dobroson should also not be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Dobroson – correct dosage
Dobroson is a drug in the form of coated tablets that are used orally. The dose of the drug and the frequency of use of Dobroson is determined by the doctor. The preparation should be taken immediately before bedtime. Treatment of insomnia with Dobroson should be as short as possible. The treatment period should last from a few days to two weeks. The maximum duration of use of Dobroson should not exceed 4 weeks, including the period of gradual dose reduction. Do not consume alcoholic beverages while taking Dobroson, as this may significantly increase the sedative effect of zopiclone.
