Dobenox – indications, contraindications, side effects

Dobenox contains calcium dobesylate monohydrate, which has the properties of reducing the permeability of capillaries and increasing their strength. It is an active substance that also prevents the formation of exudates and improves microcirculation. Calcium dobesylate, by reducing blood viscosity and deposition of platelets on vessel walls, prevents blood stagnation and thrombus formation, enhances collagen synthesis and stimulates blood hemodynamic parameters, increases blood flow through peripheral tissues, and inhibits platelet aggregation. Thanks to its properties, it supports the relief of pain and the feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the lower limbs, and also supports the treatment of edema and varicose veins.

Dobenox – indications for use

Dobenox can be used in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities (pain and night cramps in the legs, feeling of heaviness in the legs, paresthesia, edema, skin changes due to blood stagnation), varicose veins of the lower extremities (visible, permanent, segmental, vein dilatations, giving it a serpentine course), as well as symptomatic treatment of haemorrhoids. Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a disease resulting from the dysfunction of the veins transporting blood from the lower parts of the body towards the heart, as a consequence of which some blood flows back, thus hindering the proper functioning of the veins.

Dobenox – contraindications to use

Dobenox should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to calcium dobesylate or any component of the preparation. The preparation should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
