More and more men and women decide to consciously care for the body. It consists, inter alia, on the selection of high-quality cosmetics rich in valuable and natural raw materials. They are not only good for the skin, but also for the planet. Organic products are becoming more and more popular. What are they? Why is it worth using them?
Eco = security
Being eco is one of those fashions behind which there is much more than a temporary trend. We are used to carrying reusable shopping bags, segregating waste, or drinking water from water bottles equipped with a filter. The time has come to take a better look at what we put on our skin every day. Many cosmetics contain artificial substances (e.g. dyes, flavors), preservatives (e.g. parabens) and other chemical additives (e.g. SLS, SLES, PEG, PPG, phthalates). They are a common cause of allergies, irritation and even inflammation of the epidermis. Synthetic additives to creams or body lotions may have a negative effect on the hormonal balance, and by depositing in the body, they increase the risk of damage, e.g. liver and nervous system.
When you next shop at a drugstore, it is worth looking towards the shelf with cosmetics marked as organic. What distinguishes so many other products and why is it worth investing in them?
Organic cosmetics – what are they?
Organic cosmetics contain the highest quality natural ingredients. Their producers must meet a number of very restrictive standards and certify that no synthetic substances have been used in their production (even in minimal amounts). The origin of the raw materials is also very important. The condition for granting an organic status to a product is to prove that what is in the bottle or jar was obtained from organic farming with a specific certificate. Therefore, it is in vain to look for preservatives, emulsifiers, parabens, silicones and other artificial additives in their composition. Organic cosmetic is compatible with nature, and thus safe for human health, and thanks to the use of the highest quality raw materials – effective.
As already mentioned, the manufacturers of organic cosmetics do not add preservatives to them, which for many means a lower durability of the product. Natural essential oils, which not only extend the usable life, but also have a number of care values and are invaluable in aromatherapy, are perfect for this role.
Organic farms are the future of the planet
An organic farm, as the name suggests, is a place where plants are grown based on the preservation of the highest degree of biodiversity, taking care of the protection of natural resources and abandoning artificial fertilizers and chemical spraying. Thanks to this, the plant grows as nature wants, on a natural substrate and drawing on the physiological cycle of processes changing in nature. Growers focus only on organic plant protection products, providing them with valuable minerals and substances that support optimal growth. Moreover, on organic farms, fungi are often used, which have the ability to break down dead organisms, releasing valuable substances into the soil. The symbiosis between them and the plants improves the pH of the soil and increases the resistance of the cultivated.
Organic farms are a great alternative to conventional farming. No wonder that they are used not only by food producers, but also by cosmetics producers.

Organic cosmetics – for whom?
Organic cosmetics are intended for women and men who focus on natural care. They are fully universal, and a large selection on the market means that you can easily find an organic cosmetic for the care of hair, face skin and the whole body. When choosing an organic cosmetic, it is worth making sure that its base ingredient is an organic raw material, e.g. Altai sea buckthorn hydrolate, polar birch or blueberry.
A good example of a brand that focuses on organic raw materials is Natura Siberica. The company owns as many as 4 organic farms (ICEA certified – Chakazja, Sakhalin, Kamchatka and Kunashir) located on tens of hectares. It is there that plants and herbs that are the basis of cosmetics, the richest in bioactive ingredients, are collected. Ecological cleanliness and safety of the natural resources used are confirmed by the certificate of the EC834 / 2007 standard.
One of the lines of the Natura Siberica brand is Oblepikha C-Berrica enriched with vitamin C and organic Altai Sea Buckthorn hydrolate. The line includes, among others face serum with polysaccharides, eye cream with caffeine, peeling-mask with acids, cleansing face wash gel and mask with coenzyme Q10. All products are vegan, reduce the signs of skin aging and protect it from the harmful effects of blue radiation.
Another example is the Blueberry Siberica line, a professional antioxidant face care series. The formulas of its cosmetics are based on wild volcanic blueberries. In addition, you can find beta carotene, B vitamins and valuable antioxidants (anthocyanins) in them. The needs of acne and oily skin will be satisfied by the Bereza Siberica line, based on the hydrolate of white, polar birch.
The Natura Siberica brand also offers vegan hair care cosmetics, e.g. from the Oblepikha Siberica Professional, Hair Revolution or Taiga Siberica lines. Their compositions meet the needs of various types of hair, including damaged and dry, oily and colored hair.
