Do you know how important clean air is in your home? Check what impurities are waiting for you!

The ability to breathe is the most important vital function of our body. Every day we take over twenty thousand breaths, inhaling the same number of liters of air. In times when air pollution is huge and causes a number of civilization diseases, how to ensure at least some healthy, fresh air in your own home!

Dust, dust, cigarette smoke, chemical aerosols, all affect our lungs. Every day we inhale tens of thousands of dust particles, containing many substances harmful to our body. These particles are often the cause of allergies and diseases that attack our respiratory system, larynx, bronchi and lungs. Getting to the nose, thanks to small hairs, the largest impurities are retained, others get into the throat, from where they can be coughed up, from the bronchi they can also get out. However, many pollutants get into the lungs and start to harm. Polluted air is the cause of an increase in asthma, bronchial diseases, as well as problems with the heart and vascular system. Not only the air around us is polluted, it also applies to the rooms where we spend most of our day. Offices, conference rooms, shops and even our own homes are filled with pollutants. While we do not have much influence on other places, we can take care of our lungs in our own home.

The most important is the level of hydration, too high humidity above 60% is not good, causing the development of fungi, bacteria and mites. Such humidity negatively affects our health. The fungus in the air we breathe harms our children and ourselves. Mold is also an unpleasant phenomenon when it comes to smell. It penetrates into wardrobes and cupboards, our clothes and is extremely difficult to neutralize. Also humidity at a too low level not exceeding 40% is not recommended. Too dry air causes the mucous membranes in the nose and throat to dry out, leading to throat infections, nasal obstruction. Dry air ages our skin, it begins to dry, itch and excessively wrinkle. This is also when the cilia in the nose stop moving and more pollutants than usual enter our lungs.

What can we do to make the air in our home favorable to us?

Ventilate the rooms regularly, several times a day, and especially before going to bed. You need to ensure the optimal level of air humidity by using special humidifiers or ordinary wet towels hung on the radiator. If we have too much moisture, we can use moisture absorbers, and eliminate the unpleasant odor using herbs, or by boiling them and leaving the decoction overnight. It is also worth investing in a strong extractor. We must remember that aerosol air fresheners used excessively can harm us. Explosive mixtures are created especially in our bathrooms, where hairsprays, deodorants and perfumes mix, and we inhale dangerous freon. Therefore, it is worth ventilating the bathroom, and if there is no window, leave the door open at night. You can also use dried herbs and flowers for fragrance.

The World Health Organization warns that we are at risk of an epidemic of respiratory diseases due to air pollution. Smoke, harmful substances emitted from furniture and walls mix with wool, dust, pollen, threatening our health.

Therefore, the most important thing is to ventilate our home, clean our nose regularly and take care of beautiful smells in our home.
