Do you feel sleepy after eating? 5 secrets of efficiency

After lunch, you often get sleepy, which does not fit into the concept of a working day at all? We will show you how to eat correctly so that you do not want to sleep!

1. Eat small meals

It tends to sleep after eating because during the digestion of food, a lot of blood rushes to the digestive organs. And the less food there is in the stomach, the more energy is free to support other vital processes. If your job involves thought processes, then the portions of food should be small. Also, do not eat foods that take too much energy for digestion – fried potatoes, flour, fried meat, legumes.

2. Have a snack

As the main portions need to be reduced, the body will need additional energy in the form of snacks. However, these should not be sausage sandwiches or sweet rolls, but fruits, nuts and vegetables. Such products will give you the necessary strength, will be perfectly absorbed and will not add excess weight.

3. Choose the right foods

Of the total calorie content of the daily diet, protein should be 30 percent, 30 – fat and 40 carbohydrates. And some foods in themselves provoke drowsiness, despite their obvious benefits.

In the morning and in the afternoon, exclude fast carbohydrates that provoke fluctuations in blood sugar – when you fall, the body wants to rest. Give preference to slow carbohydrates – cereals, whole grain baked goods, vegetables.

Tryptophan foods should also be set aside until evening. This amino acid is involved in the synthesis of melotonin, and therefore makes you want to take a nap. Its sources are cherries and cherries, soy products, liver, peanuts, pine nuts, milk, dairy products.

4. Avoid magnesium

Magnesium has a calming effect on the nervous system, relaxes muscles and helps sleep. Avoid foods like sesame seeds, seeds, bran during the day, but add them to your dinner in the evening.

5. Less coffee

Caffeine helps to invigorate only half an hour after drinking it. Of course, many people manage to drink a few more cups of an invigorating drink during this time. A large dose of caffeine acts exactly the opposite: the body goes into hibernation.
