Why is it worth drinking lemon juice? There are several reasons, as lemon has many positive effects:
1. Protects against colds
It contains a large dose of vitamin C (although not the most of fruit). Thanks to this, consumed during the first symptoms of a cold, it will shorten time of illness. When consuming about 1 g per day on a regular basis colds will be shortened by 8 percent. in adults and 18 percent. in children.
Kwas ascorbic acid will reduce the risk of disease, but only that resulting from chills the body and intense exercise. In people who exercise this risk is halved!
2. Fights bacteria
The bactericidal effect of lemon is due to the presence of, among others. terpenes and etheric compounds. Research shows that the juice of this fruit fights, among others. with bacteria malaria, cholera, diphtheria and typhoid.
3. It deacidifies the body and helps remove toxins
Although it tastes sour, it has an alkalising effect in the body. It is important in our diet most products acidify, which causes fatigue, deterioration of well-being, headache.
4. Lowers cholesterol and has anti-inflammatory properties and anti-cancer
This action is due to the presence of flavonoids. They protect cells against contaminants, toxins and germs, thus increasing immunity and lowering the level of bad cholesterol.
5. It is the source of routine
The rutin content prevents blood vessels from bursting, gums bleeding and forming bruises.
6. Contains a large dose of vitamin A and B vitamins (acid pantothenic, pyridoxine and folic acid), which, among others. they strengthen the body, increase immunity and regenerative abilities of the body.
When to drink lemon juice?
It’s best to drink lemon juice half an hour before or half an hour after a meal and drink the juice immediately after pressing. The act itself it will definitely make it easier to remove the fruit from the refrigerator earlier (if you have finds) and being “rolled up” several times. Then you only need to use the manual or an electric juicer.
Any way to increase immunity is good, especially now that viruses are circulating. About other methods of preventing disease we wrote in the article – about natural ways to increase immunity.
