Hair is one of the basic attributes of femininity. Each of us dreams of having healthy, thick and shiny hair. We devote a lot of time to proper care, we do not spare money for cosmetics, we regularly visit hairdressing salons. After all, it happens that our hair suddenly loses its good condition. There can be many reasons for this, from the most trivial to serious illnesses. It is essential to find them as soon as possible and start working. First of all, it is worth looking at our diet, because it may be the problem.
Definitely give up on this!
The first, basic thing is to remove products containing toxic compounds from your diet. Good hair condition is certainly not conducive to our diet:
- excess coffee and tea
- alcohol,
- any fast food
- sweets, excess sugar,
- White bread,
- fried and smoked dishes,
- some fruits, e.g. bananas, grapes,
- vegetables, such as sorrel, spinach, chard, rhubarb.

The power of vitamins and minerals
Our hair loves them. Particularly noteworthy are copper – associated with melanin, i.e. the natural hair dye, zinc – responsible for lichen and silicon – preventing hair loss. Vitamins include vitamin A – actively involved in the process of rebuilding cells and keratin (one of the building blocks of hair) and vitamin E – nourishing hair and inhibiting hair loss. To provide the body with these valuable nutrients, you must eat.
- vegetables: tomatoes, broccoli, lettuce, carrots, kohlrabi, celery, radish,
- seeds: pumpkin and sunflower seeds, nuts, almonds, soybeans, linseeds,
- herbs: chives, dill, parsley.
Precious dairy and good meat
They are an irreplaceable source of protein, which is the building block of hair. The protein of animal origin contains amino acids, necessary for the process of creating new hair, preventing splitting and falling out. So the diet should include:
- dairy products: milk, eggs, cheese, yoghurts, cottage cheese, kefir, buttermilk,
- poultry: chicken, turkey
- lean meats and sausages.
Appropriate, valuable fats
Thanks to the content of unsaturated fatty acids, they provide hydration and shine to our hair, giving them elasticity and at the same time inhibiting hair loss. The presence of vitamin E fights free radicals. You should eat:
- sea fish: salmon, cod, halibut, mackerel, herring, hake, tuna, flounder (at least once a week),
- add rapeseed oil, olive oil to dishes.
Okay, accordingly balanced diet is essential if we want to enjoy ourselves beautiful, healthy hair. It should be as varied as possible. In the case of hair care, it is not worth resorting to draconian diets that impoverish the nutrients supplied to our body. Eat in moderation, but do not eliminate what is good.
