Do-it-yourself pavilion from PVC pipes: how to make a collapsible and stationary plastic structure, drawings and assembly diagrams

Бpipe arbor PVC, their own hands erected in the local area will cost much less than a traditional metal or wooden structure. ПAt the same time, its construction will require much less effort and time. Let’s look at what gazebos are from plastic pipes, and what is required for construction.

Varieties

There are two main types of pipe gazebos:

  1. Portable. They are not fixed to the foundation, so they can be moved as needed. This option is very convenient: for example, if the garden is being treated for parasites, you can temporarily remove the gazebo so that poison does not get on it.
  2. Stationary. Large structures that are fixed on a permanent foundation.

Gazebos differ in form:

  1. Rectangular. The easiest design to implement. It can be sheathed with polycarbonate or curtained with curtains.
  2. Polygonal. They look more stylish, but are more difficult to build.
  3. Arcuate. Flexible pipes serve as a framework, a covering polycarbonate.

Features of pipe selection

There are several types of pipes suitable for construction:

  1. PVC. Lightweight, cheap and easy to process material. Such pipes, depending on the type, can be either rigid or flexible. Of these, you can make a collapsible design. There are also disadvantages: they do not tolerate temperatures above +45 ° C, they are unstable to deformation. Cheap PVC pipes, when heated, emit toxic substances that can smell unpleasant.
  2. Polypropylene. Environmentally friendly, odorless, tolerate heat well. They do not bend, so for the construction of the frame you need to use adapters and corners.
  3. Metal-plastic. Expensive, heavy and durable material. Relatively flexible. Pipes expand slightly when heated.

Do-it-yourself erection

First, choose a suitable place for the gazebo. It is desirable that it is located in the shade. Well, if there will be a convenient path. The structure cannot be installed in a lowland so that water does not flow there.

In the gazebo, located next to the house, it will be easier to organize tea parties and feasts. A gazebo erected in the depths of the garden will be more atmospheric.

Consider the size of the structure, focusing both on the number of people you want to receive there, and on the amount of free space on the site. For example, for onetwo people will be enough gazebos 1,5×1,5 m, for a family of 34 people a good choice would be a square design 3×3 m.

Create drawings of the gazebo and, based on them, calculate the required amount of material. Please note that the racks will need pipes about 20 cm more than the planned height.

Many experts recommend using a rectangular PVC profile for the construction of a greenhouse, which is stronger than pipes with a round section.

For construction, you will need the following tools:

  • precision scissors or hacksaw;

  • fittings or metal pipes of a slightly larger diameter than plastic ones;

  • elbow, extension fittings and tees;

  • shovel;

  • construction hair dryer.

Basis

At the chosen place, clear the soil and make markings. At the corners of the future structure, dig holes 20 cm deep and insert iron pipes there. Fill the sides with soil and tamp it down. If the structure is large, you can make a columnar foundation by installing formwork in the recesses and pouring concrete.

Insert plastic pipes into metal ones. You can also stick pieces of reinforcement into the ground and put racks on them. If the design is supposed to be collapsible, after removing the gazebo, do not forget to close the pins so that no one is injured. You can use empty plastic bottles for this.

Wall frame

For simple gazebos, four racks with top trim will suffice:

  1. Prepare 4 pieces of pipe: 2 along the length and 2 along the width of the structure.
  2. Connect the long pipes to the uprights with tees.
  3. Insert both ends of the short pipes into the corners.
  4. Attach the elbows to the tees using connecting extensions.

Roof

In such a gazebo, the roof can be gable or arched. It is undesirable to make a single-sided one: precipitation will accumulate on a flat one, and to create an inclined one, racks of different heights will be required, but in this case it will be difficult to do the strapping.

To create an arched roof, cut the required number of flexible pipes – approximately one per 11,5 m construction length. Fasten them with cross bars using cross fittings. You can fix the arcs on the strapping using teesadapters.

To create a gable roof, cut a long piece of pipe that will play the role of a ridge run, and several pairs of rafters.

The rafters are fixed on the ridge run with the help of a two-plane cross. They are attached to the strapping using the same tees.

Often in this kind of gazebos, the roof is not installed at all.

How to sheathe

The gazebo can be sheathed with polycarbonate.

Sheets are attached to the body using thermal washers and self-tapping screws. Check in advance on an unnecessary section of the pipe whether it is cracking fromfor screwing in the bolt.

A tarpaulin or a dense film is sometimes used as a covering. It can be attached to rings that are used for shower curtains.

How to decorate

You can not sheathe the gazebo, but only fix the curtains on it. To do this, wide loops of ribbons should be sewn to them, or the top of the fabric should be stitched so that a drawstring is obtained. Pipes of the upper trim are threaded into it.

You can also decorate the gazebo by tying the curtains to the racks using wide tiebacks. Sometimes they additionally use lambrequins or a long fringe this gives the design a special elegance.

Options without foundation

You can make a gazebo without dug supports. To do this, the pipes from below are connected in the same way as was used for the upper trim.

Such a structure should be located in a place well protected from the wind so that it does not overturn.

As you can see, make a gazebo out of pipes with your own hands relatively simple task. Carefully consider the design scheme and carefully select materials so that installation problems do not arise due to too large or small diameter fittings. Take care of the beautiful decor, and with a minimum of work, you will get a cozy corner to relax.
