Folding table with your own hands
It can be difficult to organize a workplace in a small apartment. We propose to design a multifunctional folding table. When folded, it can be used for any household chores. Unfolded – it is just suitable for making patterns.
The two-piece worktop slides forward. It is supported by cantilever brackets fixed to the wall.
And to get a vertical panel (for example, for attaching sketches), the table top is raised and supported against the wall.
- Photo 1, 2. Two furniture boards of the same size and four balusters are painted white. The height of the table can be pre-adjusted to the desired height by sawing the balusters accordingly.
- Photo 3. Door hinges are attached to the countertops with self-tapping screws – at a distance of approximately 20 cm from the edge.
- Photo 4, 5. Two foam ceiling tiles are cut to fit the countertop (butt to the hinges). Then the tiles are covered with a thin layer of glue and carefully secured. It is advisable to use PVA glue to avoid corroding the foam.
- Photo 6. The brackets are screwed to the wall with self-tapping screws.
- Photo 7, 8, 9. Each bracket should be 10 cm from the edge of the countertop when the wall is lowered onto them.
