DIY screen: photo

Perhaps, as a child, you loved to draw, then switched to other activities, but the love for the fine arts remained. Let’s remember childhood and try to make a positive screen with our own hands.

Of course, photos can be stored in a traditional album and on your computer’s hard drive. But we offer a non-trivial solution. Why not use photo memories to decorate your screen?

For work, you will need a blank made of thin chipboard, which you can make yourself or order at a carpentry workshop. You will also need wallpaper for painting, wallpaper glue, black acrylic paint, black paint in a spray bottle, pea brown paper, a skein of black cord, wooden clothespins, scissors, a ruler, brushes.

  • Photo 1. On the front side, each sash of the screen is covered with black acrylic paint.
  • Photo 2. Three blanks are cut from the wrapping paper. Their width should coincide with the width of the sash of the screen, and the height should be 40 cm.
  • Photo 3. A blank of wrapping paper is glued to the bottom of each flap.
  • Photo 4. Wooden clothespins are spray-painted black.

  • Photo 1. Along the entire height of the screen, a black cord is pulled very tightly crosswise.
  • Photo 2. With the help of clothespins, photographs, postcards, drawings are fixed. The work is over.
